The fan survey says it is a small sample of fans, and I think that will mean the results are a little inconsistent - for instance, I won my season opener last night, a one point victory over a team which made the playoffs last season. I expected this to cheer up my fans a bit, and while I got a 3.5 for "this season's performance" the overall rating has dropped from the survey done last week!

As for the discussion about "improving the team" v keeping star players, I've managed to get a 4.5 for "familiar with star players" and a 4 for "improving the team". I've been selling / firing dross and buying trainees, and investing in the stadium, so maybe I fit into Charles' special case.

That's not very polite to refer to former Werewolves as dross...but it did crack me up.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

The fan survey was updated... I didn't do so well in my first game. This gave me a huge hit on the fan survey - I got half a star in my fans rating of the last game. I also dropped from 5 stars to 3 stars in "how I am doing this season"

In total, it dropped me from 4.5 stars overall to 3 stars.

The fan survey is quite volatile, isn't it? I thought the goal was to make attendances more consistent this season.

I got hit even harder since my first game was a tv-game. Getting half a star for last game, half a star for last tv-game, 1.5 star for being afraid I'll sell their stars, ok and 5 stars for investing. Oh and 3 stars for last season getting to the semi-finals of PO after promoting to div II.

Totalling 2 stars

But well not whining, I'll just have to win my 2nd game!

I've had three of the same starters since season 3 and my fans are still worried about me selling off my stars.

One star/ball after losing by 16, away, new division, TIE.

I am obviously also less disappointed than my fans are. ;-)

Does the enthusiasm strategy (i.e. playing PIC, TIE or Normal) affect the perception of the fans for a particular game?

I just got promoted to III and played away, TIE and lost for 5. My fans gave me 1 bb.

My guess: losing TIE may be reason.
