I have just a small though, which could avoid the boring competions and let the first teams start in lower divisions. I don't know it is possible to realize, but maybe a try.

Maybe you could start small countrys, in "multinational leagues"(like the Baltic league for example) so that small countrys the teams start to play in bigger countrys and since they reach a decent size the BB could announce a "spin off" to the next season, and order the teams after the National ranking to the new created leagues.
This will solve many problems, but in tradeoff you get new ones(spliting rivalrys, leagues, and maybe some unpopular decision when deciding who plays which league).

Just a thought.

This doesnt help an even bigger problem. The fact that NT's for small countries are always going to be a complete waste of time.

Randomise every existing BB team into ficticious locations, make equal size locations and then each NT and club team will have identical challenges and financial benefits.

this will amke it hard to identify with the NT, and i think with small nations it becomes to the targets you got - to be honest i though of coaching the NT of Luxembourgh building a maybe later celebrete wins against equal or maybe a bit better competition.

Also you had to balance it out very often, then i would make it without any borders and just saying you playing in the blue pole ... This will cause problems like i don't understand my competition etc.

I only raised this point as there is a thread basically suggesting the ratio of USA teams is too low. No doubt over time the bigger countries will get even bigger and all disparities will widen.

Unlike the real world where any size country can produce enough talent to field a team capable of beating anyone else, in a virtual world a country with a user base of less than 50 cannot - fact. What is the point of these teams even competing when they are just there to make up the numbers. The international competitions are even more shallow than the BB3 as a competition.... I just cant see how a better balance can be created throughout the BB world as more users are added.

in european socer, there a lot of small nations who can not compete, even if they have soccer as sport number 1 and the big nations where a lot of people play soccer usually are on top.

Of course there are always 'exceptions that disprove the rule' but this doesn't invalidate my point. Especially if you consider the compound effect of 5,000 draft picks season upon season vs a country with 50 season to season.

i beleive they could make the consolation tournament more attractive, in using the "schweizer system"(i know just the german name) which is used in chess tournament a lot. In this system the first round got drawn, and after this the matchup depends on the standing so that team play against each other who had one win in round two or teams who lose their first game. In the third round their was to bracket(2-1-0 win etc.).

Maybe something should be done here to match up countries in different league levels, from which they can promote or demote, similar to your own private league system.

I think that's a really good idea - because then it would really be a competition even for the small countries and you'd have a chance to achieve something with the NT as a coach. For example - last week was a game U21 Germany vs Jamaican NT - a blowout for sure. I can understand that the Jamaican coach probably is not very motivated to invest much time in tactics etc. before the game because he just doesn't have any chance of winning this game, whereas if he was playing in a league - as you suggested - would compete against maybe Barbados, Viet Nam, Luxembourg etc. There it would really be a challenge to find the right lineup and best tactic to win because those teams are almost on equal footing. And I guess, if you have that sort of competition, then probably the NT will improve more or faster than with the current situation and a demotivated manager.
