I doubt the part about FTs beeing out of the matchup ratings. If I hack a player on every single possession he has, that would drop his rating to zero then. Makes pretty much no sense to me.

i believe they are very easy calculated, whenever you take a shot the chanche to make it and the previous shot lea to a new average(this average is representated on a 100 shot basis). I don't that they are precalculated or whatever and don't take care about the quality of the actual shots.

Normally they make sense to the games, but random always plays a role in it and everybody have sometimes luck or bad luck.

i think a 1% failure, is also in the statistical acceptable. And i believe 1ppg is roughly like that. Random is never a since, to get the exact result is very unlikely, but when 1 per cent is the biggest of it, i would say that very accurat.

i make the experience that better shooting player, not necessary have much better percentages but much more shot. They take more shot since they shoot better, and raise the "limit" and the percentage of the whole team. Patient takes this on another level in mostly using one player in lot of games.

So having high matchup rating, and low shot could also mean that he just take good one or maybe an bb equivalent of an uncontested layup will raise his average.

Also i am not a big driving fan, and had quite good offensiv player in the past without it but thats another topic(and depesds also on tactic).

71:10 rebounds :) I know how they beat the full court press, they did it with half court shots
