So, today is another great match for our NT. We are going to face our big rivals, Al Jazair. The whole African continent can't wait for this match to begin. The teams wait for the match in different moods - Misr has won 3 consecutive matches with really huge difference and hopes to continue the winning streak until the end of championship. Al Jazair achieved only 1 win in 3 matches but hopes to beat their huge rival today.
Anyway, we must be aware that there is no favorite in such match and every victory in these derbies would be observed in different manner.
When it comes to previous meetings, Al Jazair and Misr have yet played 15 matches, with Misr winning 11 of them.
NT manager, Tarikz and captain of Misr NT, Jibril Abu-Mansour were asked to give their brief statements about this game :
Tarikz stated :
"Tradition says that we are favorites in this match and we are going to continue this streak. However, players of Al Jazair are always specially motivated in these matches. I hope my players will feel the same way. Unfortunately, we are currently in awful game shape and that could be the advantage for Al Jazair. All the other parameters make us the favorites here."

Jibril Abu-Mansour gave an interesting statement :

"I would just say that we are going to win by 25 points of difference minimum."

Was Abu-Mansour right or not, we are going to find out in 10 minutes when the match begins.
Join me in chat to support these guys who truly deserve it.

We are the best!

I am glad to inform you that Misr NT achieved one more huge victory, this time against Al Jazair which trailed by 42 points today. Our defense really works extra-ordinary, Al Jazair scored only 68 points in this game. Our best player was El-Ibrahim again. His GS obviously wasn't problem to him, even though he played against Algerian centers who have fantastic defense.
I have to say that Abu-Mansour was right again, we won over 25 points of difference.

These are the ratings :

(21020)

Take a look and enjoy.

After the yesterday's training, I felt I would have to write one more overview of the roster.
Game Shapes in our roster are generally similar to those of previous weeks, though they increased at some players but decreased at the others. I feel we need to take care about GS more. However, two really good news made me happier.
One of the most important players of our squad, Bari Yousef Ibn-Osman is fit and will be ready for encounter against Tounes. His GS is low but it definitely won't be problem for the best African SF at the moment.
Second, but not less important news, is the fact that some players are getting better and better in very significant skills. I hope that we will continue this trend for a long time.
When it comes to players who won't be able to play against Tounes, I'll have to mention Rauf Issa who got injured for 1 week and definitely won't play this Monday but he may be ready for the duel against Ghana in 10 days.

I am going to write an introduction of the game against Misr on Monday, stay tuned.

So, today is our fifth match of the African Championship. We are confronting one relatively strong team, Tounes, who is hungry to achieve their first victory in this competition. They usually haven't been lucky in previous games, since they lost them with small difference. On the other side, Misr is waiting for this game in excellent mood, with 4 wins in previous 4 games. We won all of our matches with huge difference, the winner was usually decided in the first half. I have to say that the key of our domination in Africa is defense. We let our opponents score only 74 points per match, which is incredible for this type of game where a match lasts for 48 minutes and fast-paced offense is used.
When it comes to injuries and Game Shapes, Tounes has no injured players but they have some problems with the game shape.
However, Misr has one less important player of the squad injured - Rauf Issa. Managers of Misr players have been more careful with the GS, so the players of Misr have slightly better GS than their rivals in today's game.
These two teams are well-known opponents, they have played 19 matches, with our country winning 12 of them. So, we have to conclude that Tounes traditionally plays well against Misr.
NT manager, Tarikz and captain of Misr, Jibril Abu-Mansour, were asked to express their opinions on this encounter.
Tarikz stated :

"I think we have shown our ambition in the African Cup. We won all of our matches so this one should not be an exception. Our players train 2 times per day, they are truly professionals and they know that they mustn't disappoint home crowd here in Cairo. I would like to invite all Egyptian fans to come and support us today and make it easier for us to achieve another victory."

Abu-Mansour said :

"I respect Tounes, I was born there and I lived in Tunis for 8 years. However, I am professional who plays for Misr now and my only goal is to win today. I assure you that other players feel exactly the same. When it comes to result, I would say that we are probably going to concede more than 74 points but we are going to score more than our opponents."

Everything is ready for the match, come and join us in Cairo at 17.30 to follow one more match of these guys, they deserve it.
We are the best!

I am glad to say that Misr achieved one more huge victory, this time against Tounes. Ratings are excellent, as always.
We totally destroyed Tounes in rebounds, we were 36 times more in offense, only if we count rebounds. This is the key of our domination in this game.
Rahman Omer El-Ibrahim was our best guy again with 29 points and 16 rebounds. I gave Ibn-Osman chance to enter the match at the very end, he added 2 points and an assist. I am sure he will be much better when his GS rises to 8 or 9.

These are the ratings :

I am impressed with our OD rating here.

Hopefully, we will continue playing like this until the end of Championship.

Monday, the 8th of October 2012 is one of the crucial dates in this season when it comes to Misr NT. All the African lovers of basketball can't wait 17.30 to watch the clash of two unbeaten teams in African championship - Ghana and Misr.
Both of the teams have played excellent championship so far, thus keeping perfect score. Both teams have won their matches with huge differences so it is natural to expect one tight game, where only a couple of ball possessions can answer the question of winning team.
It is shame that only one of these teams will proceed into the next match without a loss but these matches are the ones where real strength of a team can be deduced.
When it comes to previous meetings, Misr and Ghana have played 7 matches where Misr won 6 of them. However, this doesn't have to mean anything in such meetings.
As usually, Tarikz and Jibril Abu-Mansour were asked to express their opinions about this game.
Tarikz stated :

"Ghana is one very compact team which doesn't have much stars but have excellent team-spirit. Games against such rivals are always tough to play. Anyway, if we mean to be the champions, there mustn't be a rival who could make problems to us. I would like to invite this beautiful home crowd to express their support one more time. One more very important thing is the fact that all the players are fit and may be put into the roster. This is the feeling we didn't have for a long time."

Team captain, Jibril Abu-Mansour wasn't in mood for statements.

Come and join us on chat at 17.30, these guys are able to make you happy.

We are the best!

Congratulations Misr, one more huge victory in AC, this time against Ghana. The game started in very fast pace, defense were not played. In the middle of the first quarter, Misr took full control over game and didn't let Ghana come close. Our best guy was El-Ibrahim again with monstrous rating of 22.0 (never seen this in Africa before). This is what happens when he has GS 9! All the guys played fantastic, my idea to stop guards of Ghana worked perfectly, OD was played very good and that resulted in a huge, 32 point-difference win against Ghana :

(21027)

The next opponent is Nigeria, actual champion and the team with the most trophies in Africa. I will be able to give my view about this competition when we finish that game on Monday evening.

We are the best!
