Maybe something should be done here to match up countries in different league levels, from which they can promote or demote, similar to your own private league system.

I think that's a really good idea - because then it would really be a competition even for the small countries and you'd have a chance to achieve something with the NT as a coach. For example - last week was a game U21 Germany vs Jamaican NT - a blowout for sure. I can understand that the Jamaican coach probably is not very motivated to invest much time in tactics etc. before the game because he just doesn't have any chance of winning this game, whereas if he was playing in a league - as you suggested - would compete against maybe Barbados, Viet Nam, Luxembourg etc. There it would really be a challenge to find the right lineup and best tactic to win because those teams are almost on equal footing. And I guess, if you have that sort of competition, then probably the NT will improve more or faster than with the current situation and a demotivated manager.

Didn't think about Davis Cup (as I don't follow Tennis with that much interest) but I think that's the general idea :-)

mmh thats rigth in the middle is it really not excellent, even if i don't understand the tactic to screw a game to get in a lower seed because if you win them and the winner of the first game loose you are back in the same pot - and the winner of the first match is in any case better or as good as the looser.

I think there should be more than one BB3. It should be set up like the champion leagues in soccer. The is a europe champions league and a asian one, and an Africans cup and South American cup and North and Central american cup. And just like the Toyota Cup in soccer, where all of these champions come to Tokyo and have a club team championship. Could and would be more interesting than the current BB3. Peace

I agree, something similar to former Soccer Intertoto cup would be great. I guess with each such an addition we will be running into the server capcity wall. Only BBs know how much resources is left.

because three teams from the intertoto cup was sent to the uefa cup, therefore the intertoto cup had to be finished before the uefa cup starts and it took place in the summer months. managers did not want their team opening the season that early and players has to cut their holidays short therefore they did not want to participate in the matches. also tv coverages had waay too less viewers than expected. thats why intertoto cup died. but none of these should be an issue in buzzerbeater i guess?

I disagree. I think it should stay a winner's tournament. You win D.1 or Cup, you're in. You don't, try again next year. I don't see a reason why a team has to be good for three seasons to get into the tournament. Just my two baht.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.
