is the interview uncover the age and height as well as grade and potential? or only combine will show the age and height?

According to the write-up on the Edit Draft page, an interview will give you age and height as well as grade and potential:
Interviewed: Your scouts have invited this player to a workout at your team's facilities. Along with all of the information you have learned from the initial scouting, you now have a very good understanding of this player's current skills (grade rating) and potential abilities. You also discover how tall the player is and whether he is 18 or 19 years old. Interviewing a player uses an additional 2 scouting points.

The combine gives the age and height for all the players in the draft, but if you want to interview more players you can skip the combine and still have full information on every player you bring in for an interview.

I believe it's a good new system, and certainly better than the previous one. Because now, it requires more interaction from the manager. And you have to make good moves and scout the right players.
One negative point though : i think everyone should be awarded more draft points, because too few points are given out.
But for the rest, it's a very good system.

I think less points are actually good. If you do not invest in scouting, you are drafting blindly.

agreed. there should be an element of luck and strategy to scouting your next draft pick... more points would reduce this.

just imho

More points would give to much advantage to those with a better draft pick. There has to be some hope for people picking later in the draft.

How would you guys/gals feel about being able to sell draft rights on the TL? Maybe the sale would include an x amount of scouting points that has not been used by the owner. Once he puts it up for sale, he can longer use 'em to scout players. Teams will be able to move up and down the draft chart so maybe a sale can only be made during the POs. Basically, you're drafting a player that's not in your league. This might boost TL activity during the playoffs since players aren't sold as often during that time.

I know this should be in the suggestions thread but I just want to flesh out the idea first to see if there are major drawbacks.

How about adding more players to the draft? Same three draft picks per team, but benefits last pick teams by allowing players to go undrafted if they are just absolutely horrible (and hopefully replacing them with less horrible players).
Otherwise if your last pick in a fully active league, you really have no motivation to scout and draft.

If you dump 40k from the beginning you can do the combine and group demo, along with 9 fully scouted players. If it was increased to 11 by giving more points, i still think thats a tad light considering the number of players in the game. Whatever, though, that is my humble opinion and we are all on the same boat..

If there are 14 weeks of spending on scouting, that means you could have 56 scouting points. Spending 10 on the combine and 10 on the group demo leaves you with 36. It takes 3 points to scout & interview a player, so that's 12 players you could fully scout. And that's if you didn't find any among the 19 you scouted at the group demo to bring in for interviews. Since I've yet to hear of anyone not finding 5-ball star rated players from the group demonstration, I expect you could probably bring 12 in for interviews and still have a few points left over to just scout 2 or 3 players.

That said, I also wouldn't mind there be an additional option of spending $80,000 per week on scouting to get 5 points. At the max, that would give someone 70 points for scouting, which would be 16 or 17 fully scouted players after doing the combine and group demos. Other strategies could result in more or fewer fully scouted player.

I like the idea of adding more players to the draft pool and having undrafted players.
