The coach will make changes in the last 2 minutes of a game overriding our instructions. It's working as designed we have been told. Thus, you can only guarantee 46 mns with a 'perfect' line-up.

In the Scrimmage games I have played over the last week, this is certainly not true. In match (35642301) I had set my trainee to be the starter, backup and reserve SG. Two other guys were also set to all these positions on PG and C. Then I had 5 players filling the rotation of the remaining spots, SF and PF. I played SFDC and let them play.
After 36 minutes, my trainee goes out and one of the backups/reserves, who is a much better SG, comes in and plays the remaining 12.

Luckily for this week, my trainee also played 12 mins in another match, but last week I had to revert to Team Stamina training because these minutes keep screwing up.

The only consistent way of getting a player 48 minutes in a scrimmage is by fielding just 5 players.

This is not how it should work so that is why I'm posting here in the bugs forum. If I specifically tell my coach to SFDC, he should only play another player on a position if all of the starter/backup/reserves for that position have all fouled out or all are injured. The coach may then decide which player best fits that position.

The thing is, if you want 3 players to play 48 mins, then you have to cal only 7 players, the 3 that will play 48, and 2 for the remaining positions (starter and backup)... because if you are winning by a huge diference, the coach gives rest to the starter if there is a player that is doing nothing xD

It's a blowout.

I am lighthearted and all but there is 200 posts in this thread claiming your kind of game is a bug and 200 posts explaining why it is not. And that's without mentioning the dozens of threads started every month in different languages for this specific kind of game.

If you lead by a great deal (exemple : the cut is at 20 pts at the beginning of the 4th QT), you starters will be benched no matter what unless you don't have backups obviously. It's working as designed.

This might have been brought up before, not sure.

Quoting myself from over 2 years ago, the issue still exists. I set a PG and SG to get 48 mins, no backups for them and only 7 players. I confirmed I set everything right just now for this game (35641570)

PG - Esene
SG - Xermede
SF - Rodriguez / Valenzuela
PF - Sampaga / Angeloni
C - Burns / Angeloni

SFDC and let them play. Xermede doesn't move from SG the whole game until late in the 4th:

4 1:24 98 — 63 N. Xermade (A) and B. Rodriguez (A) trade positions on the court.
4 1:24 98 — 63 B. Burns (A) brought in for N. Xermade (A) at PF.

Yeah, I know this is how things go. I just think it's not right and I wanted to add another voice. I guess I'm number 201

So: if I interpret this correctly, when planning minutes for trainees, make sure you play scrimmages which do NOT end in blow-outs.

Sometimes, blowouts help :)

You could have avoided losing minutes for your trainee by removing, I guess it was Khuntsaria, from the selected players.

Kalmar subbed Kosir as SF. Sabanci subbed Gutierrez Gasset as PF.
Khuntsaria was left as a reserve for these two positions. The AI coach is designed to bench starters in this game situation, he uses reserves if necessary, he tried to make the most sensible substitution and since Khuntsaria is listed as SG...

Never have a reserve only player if you plan 48 minutes for a trainee, golden rule !

I think something are wrong in my scrimmage. I am certain that I set my lineup for todays scrimmage, and yet it uses different players than I ordered. The setup that is used in todays match makes asolutely no sense. So GS and training will be seriously messed up... very unhappy about this. If a BB could check what went wrong I'd appreciate it.

It also says in weekly stats:

"Weekly Player Statistics: Week 5/28/2011 - 6/3/2011
None of your players has played a game yet this week.
Weekly Minute Breakdown: Week 5/28/2011 - 6/3/2011
None of your players has played a game yet this week."

I am quite certain that I have had two league games within the week stated:
"5/28/2011 7:05:00 PM 6 Oslo West Pomeranians 119 - 110 (Replay) 3 Shapeshifters
5/31/2011 7:05:00 PM 8 Northern Dragons 55 - 139 (Replay) 5 Oslo West Pomeranians TV"

Awaiting reply...

As long as your game is running your weekly minutes disappear. Just wait for the end of the game and you should be able to see them.

Thank you for your answer. Still, my problem with faulty setup are present.

Weekly Minute Breakdown: Week 5/28/2011 - 6/3/2011
Total Minutes
Kosimo Anschütz 64
Artur Queirós 62
Thor Harry Sørvær 55
Aliou Diame 53
Gáspár Káposzta 48
Tore Tang Ellefsen 48
Michal Javornický 43
Herman Botnen 41
Hans Holm 34
Erik Bakketun 32

I had this open in another window from when I set my lineup. I have two scrubs that I only use for lineup, and I set
PG: Ellefsen
SG: Javornicky - Botnen
SF: Bakketun - Holm
PF: Hustad (possibly Huwiq)
C: Huwiq (possibly Hustad)

I don't care if I would have lost the game, but I do care that my setup is beeing ignored, thus messing up both GS and training, and probably enthusiasm as well.

I wasn't able to double check as I set my lineup (and I set it as my default lineup) in about 15 minutes as I was getting ready to head out for the night. I come back and I've been handed a walkover. Now, I KNOW I had players registered in the spots. And I know the system registered some part of my change, because my previous default lineup had sf guarding pf and pf guarding sf. So it recognized that 1 switch.

But then it put in 1 of the 2 players that I wasn't going to be using (because of his GS of 6) as the only player in my lineup and I lost in a walkover. Obviously because of my record and PD it shouldn't matter in the long run, but if somehow i get screwed over in the playoffs I want my 22-0 record and a massive PD to back me up so I promote.

This would have PROBABLY been fixed had I had time to double check. But I didn't. (Also I set it roughly 6 hours before tipoff, so it wasn't last minute)
