Zyler...

What I don't get with your argument about the best ratio...

From what I figure:
860 Box Seats / 50
180 Court / 500
45 Lower / 4500
20 Upper / 15000
It would seem a higher ratio of lower deck would provide a slight advantage...but nothing major.

Now here is the concern. It doesn't take as long to build lowers as it takes to build bleachers. Also, courtside seats provide the fastest payback by far. Therefore, going max court then working towards larger box and lowers is not a bad idea since they build faster. But building bleachers when during the off-season seems to be preferred. So bleachers IMO are dependent on getting the other stuff built a little earlier than concentrating on bleachers. But I do agree with you that getting up around 15,000+ bleachers is cheaper and has a faster overall payback due to price. I don't however agree that it provides the overall best income. But its income has a faster return (except on a game by game basis).

then sorry but your wrong.

you simply cant get enough fans in at a higher price to make it work.

as ive said before i wanted to be able to build my arena with a large amount of lower tier , but it simply doesnt work the fans wont pay enough for the 8000+ lower tier seats

also my argument has not been about the best ratio im still trying to work that out

my argument is solely about arena's of this model or close to this model.

10 k bleachers - 8 k lower tier - cap - cap.

which is basically what messens is and basically what sammy's is.
i was going to build the same model , until i did my research.

as for my new model which i outlined a few posts above , its a rough guess of what the perfect arena will be based on what i have seen so far.

i was thinking 4500 would be about optimal. That is based on just a few random studies.

So I am agreeing with you, that over 6,000 seems wacked out.

It would seem somewhere between 2000-6000 makes sense. But as you get towards 6,000 has diminishing return.

Especially if you can sell out bleachers @ 19 or 20.

you need to be selling out all 8450 seats at above 40 a seat to match the effectiveness of the bleachers model

but since he's already got them built...
$625000 against the worst team in his division seems pretty decent though?

I do agree that without them built, it would seem the cheaper mode is bleacher mode. But LT seem to have some decent long-term advantages....i mean if we really ignore the payback terms.

he is still 1/2 in his country. And with them built I see a slight advantage - that at that level may me something? I don't know.

his not an an advantage though. his salary cap will always be lower then teams with the bleachers model , which is what this whole discussion has been about , not about the starting building costs.

The problem is he has to set his lower tier prices a lot lower to sell out (in this case ~$30), whereas someone who has more bleachers and fewer lower tier seats can set their prices a lot higher (up to $70) and still sell out, and sell out their ~$20 bleacher seats as well.

I haven't done the math, but at first glance it seems zyler's math is correct in saying if you can still sell out ~8000 lower tier seats at $40, compared to someone else is selling only 4000 lower tier seats but at $70, and the rest as bleachers at $20, then only are you making more money per game. Hope this helped and didn't confuse people even more.

I have recently turned my attention to the math of building my arena correctly & this post has been an interesting read.
I've looked at the top teams & they seem to have built over the 20k mark to allow for max money on Cup & B3 games. I have a configurtaion of my own based on what BC Torooo, Esv Liam & Shaq Attack have done, with attendence, & based on math for higher ticket prices to save on building larger stadium, expenses. I would love your or anyone else input.
This is what I am aiming for:
Bleachers 15010 $19
Lower Tier 4400 $45
Courtside: 500 $185
Boxes 40 $975

Total Capacity: "19950"

CAP=$614690 for a sellout.
