hmmmm.... that sounds a good point.

May I ask you one more question?
As a former NBBA manager who started playing BB in season 1, why you stay in DivIII and DivIV for more than ten continuous seasons? If you were training trainees, I assume they are all 28-9 yo now........(and should save $30M+ that is enough for an strong army to crash all DivII teams).

It is my opinion that it is better to get promoted to DivII (500K bonus for the promotion), and then tank there (300K/wk) for a season and relegate back to DivIII if you are willing to. You will earn more than what you tank here for three seasons.

That's all true, and I've made plenty of mistakes. For a good while I had the biggest arena in the country and enjoyed throwing around my financial weight for short term gain. It's depressing looking at how poor some of my transfer market moves were. Following that, I didn't pay much attention for several seasons. Originally I came to this division with plans of quickly promoting out. A couple seasons ago I mounted a squad for the playoffs that would have been considered good by most D2 divisions. I was over confident for a game and ended up not promoting. I try to not promote unless I have enough strength to stay up and possibly promote at the next level. These days though, D2 is so strong that it's foolhardy for me to think I could blast through 2. I don't have anything like 30M saved. I'm sitting on about 4.5 right now. That's significant but hardly unique. For many seasons I have planned on going to single position training, but haven't been very good at it, mostly because I lacked the patience. I think I'm finally there. My trainees simply weren't getting good as fast as I expected them to and never really good enough to dominate. Going up to 2 and tanking isn't a bad way to go about getting to the next step...if I could be fairly certain that I could do it without screwing it up. The teams that do it the best become dominant at just the right time, and by dominant I mean that most teams won't even bother really trying to win.

Thank you for sharing your experience to us.

I use two teams as my model teams: Liberty and Power in NBBA and USA Elite in DII.4.
Liberty and Power started in season 12, had promoted from DIV to DI just in four continuous seasons and never relegated. He never stop just because of saving money or waiting for any trainees grow up.

USA Elite is famous in his super low-salary rosters (~$250K in total) to dominate in the toughest DII league.

Thus, I believe there are many ways to manage the team instead of waiting.
Also, all the BB team owners are training trainees. So I will not expect too much for having a better trainee than others.
However, I think to find good players at correct price, and how to balance your starters and reserves are more important things in this game. And I am still learning it.

One thing that happened during the seasons I wasn't paying close attention was that the game changed significantly. After about season 11 or 12, it probably wasn't until 20 or 21 before I started paying much attention again. I imagine I should look more at how some of the other teams have done it.

Indeed.

If I were you, I might be able to making 180K per week just simply adjust the ticket price. You arena is empty so you actually do not maximize your income.
Second, the minimal salary in this league is $96699 but your team salary is only $82676. It means you waste $15K salary to improve your team to win as many games as possible. To win any one more game will help you earn ~10K ticket in your case.
Third, even you decide to make a run and win the rest of the games. 8 wins will not push you to the playoffs and you will immediately lost your 157K per week so I assume there is no point you want to do this , unless you are sure that spending 640K to buy a good player or two so-so players can help you stay in the league.

It is not offence but just give you some friendly suggestion.

Agree.
Playing BB game is just like look the war history. New tactics and management theories are developed season by season. Managers need to keep updated and knowing how to respond those tactics.

One thing you might interested is Look-Inside will not dominate as what it is now. People who build their teams as LI only might suffer a lot starting from the next season. My next cup opponent silverbacks, the #1 and current NBBA champion, already demonstrates some important thing: his team is a R&G and Motion-based team that crashes all the LI teams in NBBA. Players who have high JP or block skills will be expensive soon. All of this will push managers to build R&G, Princeton, Motion, or PTB-based teams. You might want to purchase those kinds of players now.

Ooohh... If I hadn't had two guards get injured right at the playoffs in season 19 http://www.buzzerbeater.com/league/11/overview.aspx?Seaso... that may have been a different story. I was the favorite that year, and had plans of shooting straight up like L&P did the next season.

Still a sore spot.

Not to mention that I still think Natellio is the best manager in the league.
Usually, managers who are willing to write the power rankings are the best managers among the all. They spend more time in the game, closely analyze all the teams weekly, and know the pros and cons of each team.

As he has better bigs than mine, I assume he will upgrade his backcourt pairs in order to against my stronger guards, one from the money he saved and the other from the PG he is selling. Then he will have a perfect 8-men rotation. His determination can be easily seen as the way he ended his cup game last week.

For me, it is really interesting to have such a great player here, and I look forward our game on Saturday as well.

Haha I was joking bro ;) I'm not going to make a run nor am I going to waste any of my money. I am aware of my arena situation and was actually planning on switching it to lower prices this last weekend but forgot about it, so thank you! As for adding a player worth 15k to my roster, I may or may not do, because he needs to be a USA player, a player i will use next season, and valuable to my team. I'm not just going to buy some random guy. I appreciate all of you friendly suggestions.

Yeah, I did get that about LI offenses. One of the reasons I've been training guards so long now is that I got burnt by a few of the game changes. I reasoned that the LI bias was well documented enough that it'd get corrected.
