Congratulations to rwystyrk. I am sure he planned very carefully this match, and he won. Talking about luck at this level of the game (B3) is ridiculous, and a little bit offensive coming from people who do not know the details of the match.
I don´t think "luck" has been the main point in the B3 semifinal with BCT. As far as I know, Game Shape is not just a question of luck, and of course the tactic war was clearly on the side of the winner.
For people who think that tactics in BB is just setting a tactic in the tactic page, BB is probably very short in tactical options and this match may appear as a lucky day for the winner.
For people who think that the winner of the match must be the winner of the team reatings, it was of course a clear expample of good luck.
The most blind person is the person who does not want to see, and traslated to BuzzerBeater, it seem that some people are still playing hattrick and trying apply the same logic. Fortunately this is not hattrick, and there are many ways to fool "hattrick players".

While you're right that it's certainly not all about team ratings, you can't deny luck plays an important role in B3. Many teams are very very close to eachother, being drawn home or away in earlier rounds can make the difference of being out in the 1/8 finals or playing the finals of the B3.

I agree with you except for that point.

You are true I have HCA for 2 of these 3 matches

Just making a joke, though every team needs a little luck to be successful. I know I've had more then my fair share.

Team ratings are nice to look at, but the real indicator is the matchup ratings. No upset there, it was a close match and not surprisingly the edge went to Hostivar.

Not bad at all considering his new 9m+ PF saw no more then 6 mins.

I dont want to speak for rwystyrk but from he has told me about this neutral site - he is dubious whether neutral site really works. He is suspicious that when the match is played on neutral site, HCA exists as well. (Yes, it could then be called a bug.)

Definate congratulations to Hostivar and Sharman. Too bad I understand how the team ratings are generated, but not how the individual ratings are. Certainly rwystyrk knows a lot more than me if he was confident going into the semifinal. Before, I would have said that there was no way he could win playing man against an inside offense. But he won handily, and the individual matchups indicate that it was not luck.

So the only one here admiting that rwystyrk deserved the win is his opponent...Please stop the hate against him because he did what nobody else has, beaten Torooo...

If he won due to GS,he is a better manager for getting to high GS..
If he won due to the draw,so did many others..
If he has no clue about the GE,so be it...He is still the finalist and you are not...

Congrats to both jbmcrock and rwystyrk, the legend and the guy who defeated the legend..
