Since last weeks round the number of contenders vying for a spot in the final 32 knock out stage has dropped from 52 to 45.

Only 19 of the 45 teams are unbeaten, leaving 26 teams with a 5 win & 1 loss record.

It is possible that a team with just the 6 wins could sneak into the knockout stage but dependent on results it is also possible that a team with 7 wins could miss out.

Teams that are likely to miss out with 2 losses already, include;

Sexes, Tatatallfella, Spartans team & Northern Kyushu Ramen Kings

Teams with 6 wins include former B3 winners Młoty Stargard & ESV Laim

Former winner I Love Tehran has 1 loss as does multiple past semi finalist Boston Celtics.

2 rounds to go and points differences could become vital

And the title holder is in serious danger !

Great call

Last seasons B3 champion KK Zvezda je zivot has already had the one loss and has 2 incredibly tough games to come.

They have a home court game against the 39th world ranked Ekleptysmenoi (117415) next week and the week after they play away to the 7th world ranked team kokosari (119236)

A loss in either game will most likely see them miss the next stage in this seasons B3 championship

I love that my team's even being discussed! Of my last two games, I'm pretty sure I can win one, and hopeful that I can maybe... just maybe cause an upset in my last one.

I've thoroughly enjoyed my first trip to the B3, tho' making it again took a serious hit with me now out of the Cup (my opponent hit me with a surprise CT in the round of 16, and then on top of that my best player had an in-game injury, and another key player fouled out. Sigh...). Gotta win it all now, I guess.

With one round to go in the round robin games I believe it is possible but unlikely that one team with 7 wins and one loss, will miss out on making the knockout stage.

2 weeks ago there was 52 teams with just the one or no losses
last week there was 45 teams with one or no losses
Now there are 39 teams with one or no losses, vying for the final 32 spots

14 of the 39 teams are unbeaten, leaving 25 teams on 6 wins and one loss.

Should 8 of these 25 teams lose their final game then it is likely that Sexes who is the number 3 ranked team in the world, will be the team with 6 wins and 2 losses that sneaks into the final 32, on points difference

Yup... one game left - and it's unlikely I can beat that one (tho' I'll be trying!). Still - I regard my first ever B3 as a success!

not necessarily. 600k gate receipts plus 220k tv plus 180k merchandising is achievable.

How much money does a team need to have on its balance to sustain a B3 contender for a season? I mean, how much money do the teams that aim for the title lose during their runs?
I ask this because most of the top teams in B3 every season have roster salaries of over $600k (some teams even have more than $1M). So I guess their typical weekly net income is minus.

Actually, in some leagues, it is possible to make profit even with roster having $ 1M salaries (if the right circumstances are gathered)... So $600k is not really a bid deal

my own numbers earlier this season were usually around 615/216/178 for total receipts of over a mil a week, before cup and B3 wins, so it's certainly possible.
