well, the speech didn't work....
Down Goes the Eagles
Today was a dismal day at Dodge Arena, as the Eagles got smacked back to reality with a 90-64 lost to Brigham Bravados. "Well, they're the #1 team, what can we expect?" In the 1st Quarter, Eagles were able to stay with Bravados, having both of them knotted up at 18 after one. They were able to keep things up pretty well in the 2nd, until 4 minutes remaining. That's when everything started to crumble. In the third, no one showed up for the Eagles. Ye was cold, they couldn't defend for a nickel, and they kept giving "The German General" T Coss a lot of points. Then in the fourth it just didn't get better as the Bravados bench even came in. "Player" of the game was Ye Huaien. who managed to achieve a double double from the SF position, scoring 35 points, and 10 boards. But it wasn't enough to scare down Bravados' manhandling D and productive shooting from every player.
"A team is a bunch of players molded together, not just one main guy. 1 guy can't take on a team. The team would always win in the long run, while the 1 man team will loss 100% of the time. So, what we'll be doing, is once we have enough cash, we will go in and go for a BIG TIME player. More than likely a PG at the end of next season. What we need to focus now is on Almdudlers and their great team. We need to beat em otherwise we should just start getting ready for a relegation battle between us and Revs." Here is Ye: "Man, didn't get it going. Nor did Mykyta. Stillfried was helping, but his D wasn't up to par. I was trying my best, but it wasn't enough. Now we have to go and beat a tough Almdudlers team and we'll have to fight in this one to win. Yes, we are mad, and I hope we can go in there and beat em." Well stay tuned in for Tuesday as they take on Almdudlers and intend to go 10-11! This is Derek Alston, reporting for The Eagle.
