Greece have lost to Holland and dropped their PD in the process to 85, the same as Bulgaria. (Teams seem to be pairing up)

With us 23 up at half time it looks promising though not definite. Garbage time could effect us negatively.

Game over and job done. We needed a big win today and got it, taking it easy vs a crunch. That was a risk, as was playing a 3-2 zone but it worked. Push the Ball was a fairly obvious offence given our need for a lot of possessions.

Some game shape issues going into today, some familiar names were missing, but the players that came in did well. MacAusland fouled out early in the second half but Gregor Simpson came in and showed he would have been good enough had he started, which in fact he was very close to doing anyway.

Points were well spread out which is always encouraging. Palit, Madelin and Barker passed the ball very well, and McDonough and Simpson dominated the boards.

We've definitely done enough to qualify. I haven't checked the games going on while ours was being played but the earlier games were in our favour. As I said earlier its not something to celebrate scraping through the first round.

Anyway, now seems a good time to mention next season. I won't be standing for re election. Hopefully I'll have a couple more weeks of competition before we have to scrimmage, but then that will be the end. Its been enjoyable mostly and I'd encourage anyone who wants to have a go to do it.

Definitely got rewarded for taking a risk today, paid off big time.

Just like to say, you've invested a huge amount of time and effort into the NT and you've not only done a great job but have been successful in achieving your targets, so well done.

As you say, not the best season to finish but a glorious reign as a whole and you'll be a tough act to follow.

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

By the looks of it, we're going to be seeded 30. Which means we'll be away to the 3rd seed. Possibly Turkey. I would think even after a moderate season we're one of the teams that the top seeds would prefer to avoid.

In before someone suggests again my name or makes again pretty obvious references: I am not standing for NT manager. I have no interest, no time and not enough experience for that.

Congratulations on your tenure. The team had some illustrious wins and we've been out competing pretty much every season. Of course, you have been extremely close to book us a place in the final of the consolation tournament a couple of seasons ago, it was a great run.

The next manager will have a hard time to match the success the NT has had in this stint.

I got Turkey being 3rd right. I seem to have missed Latvia's result which was also in our favour, and we moved above them to end 29th. So we have a trip to the Netherlands. Hopefully it won't be in Amsterdam and we can keep the younger guys out of trouble.

So we have a trip to the Netherlands.

You'd imagine to travel to a team who finished 8-0 and have a larger number of users than us that'd it'd be a near on impossible task but I like our chances here and if we can get all of our key players with good GS then it'll be a thoroughly entertaining game.

However, this is a near on impossible task.

Two seasons ago we were the 8-0 team and I remember the worry about what the lower seeded team would do. Home advantage is of course massive, and I'd rather be in their position, but I think its safe to say Holland aren't going to be entirely happy with their draw. In many ways I'll probably have easier decisions to make than I had two seasons ago, simply because I think I have fewer options.
