You beat High Point on a Neutral court, by 10, on less effort....

Not to make excuses, but here's one anyways: poor GS (Simmons/Britton).

just 'cause i am grumpy . . . you should note it helps to have had Upsyndrome and, for that matter, Golden Horde in the other conference. i got a trophy or two when the league champion came from the other conference. (sigh)

Well Oscar...just since I am grumpy, I will defend myself :-)

At this point, there is no getting past Upsyndrome without running a negative $300K a week ...and what fool would do that? The way he grabbed all the NT bigs and the Merch advantage he has, puts him in a category by himself.

That said my team promoted to the NBBA quicker than I planned...we went to the NBBA Finals 4 seasons ago, with basically the same team that I won D2 with. That was a fun surprise...of course, we ran into NT Juggernaught TKI at the time, and almost pulled the upset. My team starts and rely's on two players that are currently less than $22K and 19K...and in previous seasons their salaries were lower. On paper, we don't look very impressive, but we keep getting it done ;)

Last night, I took $551K of payroll up against $786K of payroll and eeked out a win. So while I may not have your obstacles to overcome, I'm certainly not getting a free path to the Finals, and have obstacles of my own to overcome ;)

This would be the best Game in the world if it had animated graphics

As if game day wasn't entertaining enough: graphics would attract and retain new mangers, I'm sure.

It's a shame the cup takes away from the MVP results -- Bowens got gypped. Also, that one game he played 3 minutes screwed his perfect stats.

4 NBBA Final's losses in a row (counting this season) :-)

The Buffalo Bills of BuzzerBeater! Maybe I can temporarily stop mentoring A-Dub next season to give everyone else a chance.

shikago beat king kenny in the other semifinal so hopefully i can make it an all american final. i am also pretty sure in a turning of tables that i have the oldest/worst/lowest salary utopian player in bb

Not so fast! If you're talking about Fumbani Mdokwana (33420712), Jerry Beirne (33418019) is a year older and makes $25 less per week. (Håkan Jonasson (33413508) & Carlos Danger(33427292) are both in their 40s already, though more expensive).

Anyway, have a feeling you'll win. We've both got teams of 1 salary monster and a bunch of scrubs, except your salary monster is much better. Plus you've got a big enthusiasm advantage probably. I was chasing a 1 loss team all season after staying in the cup too long. Which turned into scrambling for an auto-promote spot. (on the bubble, might be short on PD)

Wow, I wondered if that might happen....I think it has as much to do with the Cup as the rest of your team is so awesome that stats get spread around pretty good. That said, I can't honestly say that Tashkov is the MVP of my team, let alone the league ;)

Also...it's a little surprising that a player who didn't even start in the All-Star game for his Conference goes on to be League MVP.
