He may have really low stats in the outside skills with that low salary!
For me, I would train him to strong in Rebounding and Inside Shot (if training big guys right now in the team anyway) and then sell him. Otherwise sell him directly.

If you are already training C/PF I would train this guy for a while. He still has plently of potential left.

I would keep training him until I found someone more suitable to train as a C/PF then sell this guy off. He will train slower than someone taller.

I would sell him now or train him for the rest of this season and keep him then as an untrained backup. In a few weeks he will be 20 and it wont make sense anymore to train him a lot (especially with that lack of inside defense).

Try to get three 18 year old Center or Guard trainees (preferrably C as they are easier to train imo) at the beginning of the next season (maybe you can even draft them at no extra expenses), they will perform much better in the long run if trained properly.

without skill you won't get a high salary, and salary *10 it is ~the highest dmi a player could have(but dmi switches during the season, salary is only one time recalculated) thats why i think dmi is more usefull then salary - even if it maybe better to reduce it for skill and game shape only.

2 identically skilled players can have huge differences in dmi though, ill still go with skill, salary game shape. in that order , to judge players

thats because the gameshape which is in my eyes good refelcted in gs, in this case i would say the dmi is really important not only as guide for beginners.

im just saying dmi is the last thing i look at, and i think it should be the same for new players.

players can be worse then other players and have higher dmi new players dont realise this and buy based on the dmi
