i took from his description that he drafted the player who was one higher on his preference list, not that he drafted someone not on his list. In fact I took from his description that if the draft replay were accurate he would complain because the player that was higher on his list was still available but wasn't taken.

It could be just me but in his shoes I would rather hear something like "we don't have a mechanism how to check that" instead of trying to find a reason why not to check that.

(he can't be sure it is the same PF, in hindsight he would have better chance for his to be look upon if he provided less info)

The only certain thing is he drafted a different player. He speculated it _might_ have been one that was higher in his preference list -- but until you look into the issue, how would you know whether this is indeed the case, or whether there is a more serious issue here?

Thanks everyone for your input and backing me up on this.

BBForest - I disagree that I have not been harmed by this. Yes, I speculate that I got a higher player on my draft list, but as a few previous posts have suggested, clearly I have no way to know that is an accurate statement.

BUT regardless of whether I have been harmed or not, I'd assume the fact that the incorrect players could be given out to teams would be of slightly higher priority. The BBs and GMs constantly tell users in the forums that they need to do their own research on certain areas of the game (i.e. how experience is gained, where the different soft caps on player potential are, etc.), and I completely agree with this. However, here I am trying to do this research - meaning, I copy and pasted my draft list in an attempt to figure out exactly what type of players match up with the number of stars and grades - and yet, apparently that was completely in vain as I receive a player that does not match up to the information. The fact remains that I was told this player was supposed to be 18 and of a certain position, and instead I received a 19 year old who plays a different position. Whether it harmed me is not the problem; whether the draft is being incorrectly run is a slightly bigger question...

Having said all of that, I'm not overly angry or anything. I love playing BB and I think in general you have designed a very entertaining game. I'm just very curious about this.

To me it seems you are not completely sure, that you did not change the draft order. I take screenshots after I have set up the draft order. Both draftees I had info on had the correct position. 1 draftee I had no info on. Ofcourse I got robbed with the height:)

I didn't take a screenshot, but I'm 100% sure I didn't change the draft order.
