A training camp would be great..

That`s only thing I like about your hole suggestion... But this could be done without making offseason longer because it`s already boring to wait then it`ll end. Training camp could be used for team those did not go the super-finals.

So this would be...

Team could send max 12 players to the training camp paying 1 000 000 in game money.
Training camp would work like this:

1) 5th and 8th teams could send their players first as don`t participate in PO or relegation games and would get one random skill-up for each player and randomly one more random skill-up for 6 of 12 players
2) runners-up from PO first round could send their players and get one random skill-up for each player.
3) runners-up from PO second round and relegation fights (if 2 games was enough) would get randomly random skill-up for 8 of 12 players.
4) runners-up from PO third round and relegation fights (if 3 games was played) would get randomly random skill-up for 4 of 12 players.

Every team suppose to pay 1 000 000 in game money to send their players to the camp, doesn`t matter what revenue they`ll get from it.

This system would be like bonus for time you wait till new season starts.

Every team would play friendlies as it`s now and get normal training as it`s now. That means training camp would finish exactly the same time as third super-final game finishes and everyone would see what they got from that 1 000 000 spent. That would be like a lottery, but fun one.

Crazy idea, but maybe someone will like it...

I saved up the whole season and now I have just $1.000.000
I hope next season (I'll be in III) to make more money. However, I wouldn't spend $1.000.000 while I could just train...

yeah price could be chosen for each div different as maybe it`s not possible to save so much...

I mean it would be like a bonus, so you wont loose your normal training... just an idea how take money out from the game...

It could be a way of dealing with the penalty of the 5th place.
I like this idea.

I dont think that the offseason should be taken as long, but as a short one. You have to learn to be patienced after a 3 months of regular season for one more week or so, while there would be a space to implement something interresting. Look at the training iself - which were much more faster before and I think that were wise to make every popup in fact an event, while there are so many things you have to wait for.

I would like to see the draft as something which you explore more on decades and more to the deail..

And the training camp is best one. I agree with randomness declared by Zyzla. But I dont understand why should be there the differences between teams which done something in PO or are in some position. Thanks to that random factor on training camp you can do even that - team which will end earlier, can send several players from his team to the training camp also earlier and make from it more, because you are still disadvantage by that you cannot choose what to train. It is today, indeed, like that - longer you are in the game, so long you can train, but it is like that only because random training camp doesnt exist.

I think most people like buzzerbeater because it's a fast paced game. It's not like some other online sporting simulations where everything takes months to happen

Wow, my opinion on this topic is really the oppsite. I think BB is a very slow game, a season takes three months - and if you want to develop a player from scratch you can make plans for the next year or two. Thats a pretty long timespan imo :D

----------------------------

I think the shorter the offseason is the better, as there is nothing to do at the moment I don't see us profit from an extension to two or three weeks unless something pretty important is introduced, like summer leagues and/or training camps, on the other hand those things seem to be pretty useless as many teams depend so much on their revenues that there could be serious financial problems for some of them.

Just imagine you spent all your seasons income to get some better players before the trading deadline to go deep in the playoffs, lose in the first round and spend three weeks without income...

if you think buzzer is slow, what about hattrick, teahHB, where it takes 5 weeks for a single stat raise?

concerning the spending and income during offseason, well that's a risk...
there must be risks in games.
in first person shooters you die, here you go bankrupt or have to sell players.
good financial decisions are part of the game and what separates good managers from bad ones.
also, the offseason needs to be this long, the BB need time to prepare drafts, relegations and promotions, NT elections must be held and people must have time to present their cases, it can't all be done in a week.
