As far as I know there isn't a way to do this (and I think that's a good thing). If you're desperate for short term cash I would suggest selling a player and then buying back a similar, or better player later when your finances stabilize.

No there isn't.
It has to work this way or else teams will take loans, realise they can't repay and go inactive and leave the game.
