even if you use basic formations there are other things you will want to adjust, for example starters, subs, you can change defensive assignments, effort, how you want your coach to follow the depth chart, and if you want players in foul trouble to sit or not. Theres a lot more to games than just your offensive and defensive tactics, but those are very important.

In general your Center will not shoot 3's in any of the formations, unless he has decent outside shooting stats. But in all cases there may be a instance once or twice a game that he will decide to take a shot, usually if the shot clock is running low and he happens to have the ball at the 3 point line.

If that is a case, will you please have a conversation with my backup Center? In our last game that turd took more 3 point attempts (4) than he had shot attempts in the previous two games!!!! UGH!! Crazy thing is, despite being a horrible shooter, he hit 1!!! lol

Not sure what you are talking about in the last game your Main Center took 1 3 pointer and your backup took 0 3 pointers.

Actually, my bad, it wasn't my last game, it was the game before that...the Private league game...he went 2/9 overall, and shot 1/4 from 3....usually he doesnt take 3 shots the whole game, let alone 4 3 pointers!!!

This is what happens in the game engine. The G.E is always looking for a missmatch. If you C has inept JS and the other teams C has pitiful OD, there are going to be times when that might be the best option on offense. As you posted, he did hit one of those threes. That is why I always have at least average JS on all my bigs( right now my PF has sensational JS).
I would guess LI or LP would keep you C in the paint and not shooting 3's. peace
