If a guy want to finish 8 i would prefer he forfeits some games than giving free average to some teams.
Because if we add this, probably the team insted of doing a forfeit he will give average and i really think is worst for the comptetition for the others teams.
Remember that its usually that some teams when they arrive to Div1 they devote in 8 place with the intention to have a great elegible draft and traninng-making money at the same time. At least that is happening on Spain on the best division...
but did you like the sitution, when two teams of the difference conferences a save in their position, have the same amount of win and so the only thing for the last game is the draft order against each other.
Now one team forfeit to get behind, just because he have the much better point differential ;) So the other team have to forfeit to, to keep his draft position.
When you target to get last, you still have to waste games, equal if with weak lineups or forfeits - but i personally like weak lineups more especially because of the training for the winning team.
