The number of times I've been burned by a single star player with insane salary and a bunch of scrubs as back up (too bad the scrubs have the same salary as my star players T-T )

This sounds like it makes is fun for peeps with more balanced teams or teams with one very strong def player...

I can't wait to test and try this out!!!

yes that'd be very cool... plus if you could pick who to guard (the position)!

Better might be "starter", "backup", "reserve", because one guy will not be in the field all the time. The advantage is that you could pick 3 from different positions.

So once would defend (attack) like that your PG starter, once your SG backup, once your SF starter.

It will probably be by position, which would suck. I can just see the battles now as people try to move their best player to different positions in order to avoid the extra coverage.

Well indeed, but also depends on preference boost. Will be supported prominent attacker able to score over zone man to man with guys around sensational ID? Or is it like that player have to be better than opponents defence to get most from him? That would mean there will be necessary to move best players on different position (while in fact they should just pass to each other to a different corner)

With increased demands on that player also increase the possibility that there is noone in your team who can play in that tactic. But if it would overplay specificly focused (inside/outside) tactic just by getting there your best players, it would not be probably so clever, because it would mean that you need just 1-2 players to beat opponents weakness on his defence.

Therefore if you know that he is going to play 3-2, instead of Look Inside, there would be better to play inside Isolation.

I still cannot set new tactics for my Thursday scrimmage. Please confirm if that will be possible.

I have a question about the inside option of the box-and-1. From the perspective of real basketball, can someone give me an example of a team playing a box-and-1 against an inside player? I have been wracking my brain trying to think of when that might happen but can't. I know that Shaq used to get double teamed while the rest of the defense played a loose three man zone (before zones were legal even) and the double teaming of big men is common in NCAA and high school hoops, but I can't think of why a team would play a box-and-1 covering a big man. Just curious.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Didn't the Celtics try something similar at times against Howard and Orlando last season?
