I've never had anything higher than a superior trainer so i don't have experience in anything higher than that, but i often wondered how amazing world reknowed trainers are if people are willing to blow that much money on them.

In my case, I'm already amazed by people bidding over a million for exceptional trainer...i mean the difference between exceptional and superior is only a week or so, right??? Can a week make a huge difference??? I don't think so. I wanna know why some players are willing to spend such amount of money. if I were them, I'd use the money to buy a good player. this will be far more beneficial than having an exceptional trainer, who won't make much difference.

I agree with one exception. Playing any player 128 minutes iin a week is silly, imo. However there have been cases where i was bidding on two players and one of them had 50 minutes playing time in a position I am training. This means I can buy him, and he is allready set for his training minutes for the week. It's like I get an extra trainee that week. Ihis is a bit different than what you were saying, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

I love managers buying those trainers for a lot of money. This means they lose more money than they gain. If they buy bad players for high price from other managers, they actually give those sneaky managers more funds. So I would say, bid more on those trainers!!!

I assume its the carryover from hattrick, where (if i remember correctly from the HT days) the difference in one level is higher then here.

Without HT experience, as a noob I'd have been more impulsive on the player market. But I knew better and focused on a long-term training plan. I know its good to keep some things mysterious but in this case it's just tricking new and lower division managers into wasting their money.

If you are struggling to justify paying for a trainer with no limitations, spare a thought for us over in Japan where every cent is needed to ensure you have the best starting 5 out on court at all times....

What about starting up a fed/petition? This would be the only way to absolutely lambast the behaviour of noobs without fear of a GM coming along to close down the threads like this with the subtle hints :D

I think it could take off and if we all add to our signatures i estimate it won't be long before we see prices drop. We could even use the petition to name and shame those stupid enough to be paying the same amount as they could buy a triple sensational PF and C (that are still trainable!)

Different from yours but on topic:

STOP OVERPAYING FOR TRAINERS! I'm 100% focused on training some 18yo's and have tons of cash, and still can't justify spending the extra couple million (in purchase and salary cost over 5 seasons) for maybe a couple extra pops per player on a L6 over a L5.

Can we add a warning note to the staff page, something like "THIS ISN'T HATTRICK, THE DIFFERENCE IN LEVELS ARE VERY SMALL!"

I can't imagine how much money is flushed out of BB every week on mangers grossly overpaying for trainers.

Agree, every season is same, this means that system doesnt work, when the managers start to pay to dont lose more money.

Agreed. I think the majority of good managers check minutes on players they are buying, so the theory that ' they wont notice' is a false one.
