1. This is really complicated.
2. Would require a complete overhaul of the game.
3. Doesn't provide a worthwhile enough advantage.

Sorry but it just isn't right for this game.

Creating a whole new draft system is a lot of work. And creating a whole new transfer list is even more work.
And then making it so that people don't have to worry about training in high divisions means it is a recipe for disaster as people will just keep older great players and will never have to worry about training rookies.

Most people struggle to run one team, it is too complex to have to create new pages to be able to run a second team. And what if someone only wants to run one team, why should they be disadvantaged compared to someone else that has enough time to run two teams and learn twice as much?

Also creating a whole new section just for these second teams means a whole lot more stress on the server around training times and game days. And are you going to have two lots of economy pages now? Can you still train in the original league, and if so does this mean you get double training because you are training your older players instead and still receiving free high quality youngsters.

Players can have a lot of great skills by the time they are 21, imagine what happens if a div 4 team drafts it, their team will go bankrupt. And you can't make it so that the good draftees are reserved for the higher leagues as then it will simply be impossible for new teams to rise.

Sorry but this idea would never work, just too complicated and not enough benefits.

To make a whole new transfer list, one for only 21 and under, and one for over 21 would require more code than you think.

And sure you could put it on a different server if they can afford it.

But by people not signing up, the people that do sign up get an advantage which isn't fair.

This idea will never work, there is not enough benefit for the ridiculous amount of work required.

But I am curious what other people think, though I am sure the vast majority will hold the same opinion I do.

2 problems I find here on just the logistical side of things:

1. A new draft system was only implemented a couple of seasons ago and thus is extremely unlikely BBs will overhaul the whole draft system again. At least not for at least a few more seasons to see how this system plays out.

2. You point to a new server. I'm in no position to speak for BBs but a new server will no doubt cost more money. Thus, it will require the BBs to invest significantly in a new server while at the same time their revenue base is not increased. A simple cost-benefit anaylsis will reveal that it is probably not justified spending the money(to get a new server) on top of additional work(programming and design of new system) just to overhaul the draft system that isn't really broken at this stage.

Perhaps we can add NCAA investigations of tampering too. And also every season incorporate a small chance one of your players gets arrested for DUI or assault or drugs or something too, and you lose him to suspension for so many games. Supporters of course can appeal. Since realism and emulating real world basketball seems to be the focus of so many suggestions, perhaps there can be a hidden "jerk' quality in players who demand trades and lower enthusiasm if thier wishes arent complied with. Or salaries determined not by ability as much as stats and ego, just like the real world.

Or....we can accept this is a game and play it, enjoy it, appreciate it for what it is (game).
