I usually play a fast paced offense and my starters rarely play less than 35-40 minutes. Sometimes they don't even get subbed! Maybe I have too much stamina. There are some basic rules you can follow:
- the higher the stamina, the more minutes your starters will play (anything above respectable will not get subbed too often)
- if you lead by more than 20 points at the end of 3rd quarter, all your back ups will play out the rest of the game (getting at least 12 minutes in the process)
- the weaker the back up, the more minutes the starter is likely to get, and vice versa (unless maybe you strictly follow depth chart)
- it may be wise to give some of your back ups a starting place in one of the games each week (this will make minutes managing a lot easier)

Yeah most of my players have good stamina and thats what i have been trying... i usually play my subs in games that are gonna be easy or ill get blown out.... but i have 2 important games coming up and ill have to play my starters so didnt wanna mess up my game shape... thanks :)
