BB has announced that there will be a new draft system, but have not given out the details.

In the past it has worked this way: Each league is given a pool of 48 players. You will told a very limited of information about players that you have scouted. You will get a rating of 1 to 5 on some players. On some of those, you will get a second rating of A+ A A- B+, etc. And on some of those you will know know their best position. Investing $20,000 gives you 4 pieces of information. Typically there will be many players that you will know nothing about.

The players will be anonymized. So you might know that player 7 is a "5". Another team will know that player 11 is a "5", but they might be the same player. Yet other teams will know nothing about players 13, 18, and 27. They will be all the same players.

About all you can do is move the "5" to the top of your draft list and the "1" to the bottom. Order those you know nothing about in the middle based on the numbers you use for the lottery.

You will get 3 players.

The drafted players can end up being pretty good. I have got 2 starters (or they would be except they are both PG) and another who is a solid backup.

$20,000 is probably fine for you. There is some investment based on before you started. And you will probably have some teams in your league who won't bother re-ordering their draft list. If you were in D.IV, I'd suggest cutting it back, but you should be able to afford it in D.III.

Playoff starts after the last match in your schedule.

You can sort this 48 player pole, and evereone in your league will do. Then the engine will pick to the manager who ended last in league his number 1 draft player, then the engine will pick to the manager who ended next to the last his number 1, if its already picked by the last manager, he will receive his number 2 draft player... and so on... after 3 rounds of draft, alll 48 players are divided to teams.

What about "bot teams" (or teams with managers that won't choose players during draft) ??? Do they participate in the draft at all ? Engine is choosing players instead of the managers ?

They participate in the draft. They pick their players based on their random unsorted draft list.

Each league has its own pool of 48 players. I don't think they are actually generated at this point. When they are generated you will be presented with a list of players numbered 1-48 with bits of information about some of them, based on how much scouting you have done this season.

The players will be numbered differently for each team. So Player 5 on your draft list will be Player 7 on another team's list, and Player 34 on another. And you might know that Player 5 is a "5 star" player, and the other owners won't know anything about their Player 7 or Player 34. But they may know something about another player that you know nothing about. The bots won't re-order their draft lists, so they are simply picking blind.

BB has announced there will be changes in the draft, but not what the changes will be.

Yes. Also, if you will notice the "preference" column. That is how they were ranked by each team. In my league, 11 teams got their top choice, 3 got their 2nd choice, and 2 got their 3rd choice.

Cheers for help mate.
I have 1 more question, i was looking at my transfer history and i noticed that a couple of players i fired have moved on for free to another club. Is there a free transfer list where you can pickup fired players.

Thanks in advance.

Nope, those players you saw were on the team before you took over. That whole team was completely fired and the decent players were put on the transfer list.
