In BB, it's easier to make a shot with a bad defender guarding you than it would be to make the shot if it's open.

Maybe bad defenders yell words of encouragement?
"Take your time, visualize the shot going in & make sure to follow through. I believe in you [player name]."


I just always assumed that they got their hands up where the bad shooters normally aim and thus had to adjust their shot and it actually went in. Or they're screening the goalie, if BB swiped the GE from some hockey sim.

No. But the data spans over two seasons. Like you, I had dismissed as an anomaly last season as well.

If that's the case, shouldn't all Centers shoot really well from beyond the arc?
