True but you played scrimmages and private, so 38 meaningful games (How did you meet in the Tourny twice? Wow!) total to our 45, which also dates back to season 7.... Oh and is still going....

How did you meet in the Tourny twice?


At first glance I too thought this was quite impressive, but Nippon is a micronation, with only 30 teams, and since Kitakyushu and Swoosh are some of the better of the thirty, they're bound to play each other in the cup once in a while.

To not include very competitive Private league games is silly. Most times when you meet a team in the regular season, you are not playing your best team due to training. In my PL, World Super League, it is a very strong league and everyone plays their best players. Also, out of those 18 PL games, 2 or 3 are PL playoffs.

Longest rivarly... that is the one that has gone on the longest, without being artificially created. Sure, any two friends can join a PL together and play scrimmages for fun (And/or blood), and create a lengthy rivalry. I would certainly include PLs if I were determining the WINNER of the rivalry, for all the reasons you mentioned. But as far as length is concerned, both rivalries started in season 7.... one is still going.

In my league Knights of St.John and Defenseless Babies have been going tooth and nail since season 11.

possibly not the longest at 38 games, but I have 4 tournament trophies and 4 wins over this team, not a co-incidence

That would be true if they were in the same league right now.. but they aren't. I assume they will be able to resume their league rivalry at some point.

32 regular season games is as long as the YC/Swoosh one at this point. You could pass them. But I don't think either my Sloths or the Sharks are going to promote/demote this season.
