The easy answer to this is that it's quite easy to mass-produce the IS/ID/RB donkeys - get 18 year olds, play them exclusively at C, train those three skills, watch their salary explode! Same thing with PGs. But training a good SF takes significantly longer and you've got to play them at different positions, which is why there are much fewer of them, which more than justifies not only a salary premium but the TL premium.

If you remove any sort of wage penalty for overtraining players, everyone will just have players trained up near or past 20 in whatever skills they want.

Thats actually truth, and don't misunderstand me...I like training players allround, Pg's with like 12 insides and same for Centers, but I just think it's not real ;)
But to improve it would require some big changes, like changing the training etc..
Like why can't I train my PG's to shoot inside?? Thats part of a real life training xD
I don't know exactly how would the game react if you allow every position to get all trains and then change the way salary works on those Focused Inside/Outside players vs the All around ;)

What the hell did I just read. He brought up some good points and then you came with your inadequate response. Read your post again and consider who's the real child here.
I like the idea, that would save some valuable players from hanging up their shoes for good.

I totally agree on justutukas. If NT caliber players are getting sold for cents (10-20k), it helps only those teams who buy them on Monday and fire them on Sunday without paying any salary.

I agree, and most reasonably knowledgeable managers would agree, but what in the world? Stress much?

I never thought about that point. In fact I never knew that you could get away with that but if you look on the transfer list you can find 250+k C for $1 so if someone wants to abuse the game they can do it without free agents.

Now im curious to know how much people keep reserve. If you can just splash out a million on a player with 3 days notice and keep within your wage structure then you are probably tanking

Yes, it happens all the time (not with free agents), and if you lower the price of free agents there will be even more of this case.

As for tanking, I have a +100k every week in second division and I never had been tanking. This year I'm a bit weaker because I'd started to train new draftees. I could easily pay a million for a player but I don't want to
