It just depends, it took me only 3 seasons to get to III. Having big salaries isn't everything. I had a salary around 77k most the season and towards the end my salary was around 105k. I feel like having depth is the most important thing in IV and having a good trainee. You can win a league with player salaries around 13k, I had a good 8 man rotation during the playoffs. But during the regular season I had a 3 big man rotation with a 3 guard rotation. All of them versatile and could play many positions in different tactics. At guard I one trainee that was an inside guard, 11k SG and 13k combo guard.

I had a big that was 8/8/6/5/6/7--12/11/7/3.
Salary of 11k but was a dominate big man for me that could play SF at times.

I had a defensive big that was 6/7/5/5/7/3--9/11/11/6
Salary around 13k and rebounded and played great defense for me. Didn't score a lot but was a key player for me.

Had an all-round big 8/5/6/8/7/6--10/10/10/7
Salary around 13k and also played alittle SF for me. Nice all-round big men that do anything for me.

All of my players had great secondaries and were all younger than 32 years old. I bought all these players for cheap because this was the season before the Utopia was started. I picked up a rebounding big right after the all-star break so that allowed one of my big men to play more SF. Before the playoffs started I picked up an old cheap SF that played well for me. I always had good GS and I mixed up tactics very well. My main offenses were PTB, Princeton and LI. I played alot of 3-2 with GDP because most teams mainly ran inside or outside with no neutral offense. I attacked teams weakness and played good defense. GDP was a big part of season. I also was always on the market looking for players that fit and didn't settle quickly.

Hard to compete with that. Always going to be teams flipping player in the season, new players every week stronger than the last week. Also with Nt players in low league it is unreal at times.

Some leagues have differ strengths, it always good to keep that in mind. See what they are spending, you can make them spend more and make them ruin the team finances. You can play economically. It hard to have a good team and not get ahead, Make them stand behind the money spent,

Take all the advice you're seeing in this thread and keep doing what you're doing. You're currently 16-0 for a reason. Your team is clearly good enough to win it all, so no major changes are needed. You know what to do. I feel like I've been in the same boat as you the past 4 seasons. I've been dominant in the regular season, and have played in game 3 of the finals for two straight seasons. Yet, I have always come up short. You just have to keep moving forward and keep playing.

Edit: wow this is an old thread. I didn't realize that. Oh well, I hope my advice helps anyways. But it seems like you have everything in control.

Haha thanks, your help is appreciated (even if this is an old thread). My team is way too old for me to be comfortable in D.III, but I had to add some talent that wasn't too expensive for this season because I just felt like this had to be the season. I just hope everything works out in the end, thanks for the reply! I just hope I can finish this season strong.
