Got my first serious test of the competition against a D3 side away next week. Two guards with 139k and 72k salary, but not much else. Still enough to make it a tricky game though, as I don't want to have to tank a league game just to get past a D3 team. Especially not when I'm currently sitting top of the ABBL Big 8 conference, though how long that's going to last now that rimmers has a ONE MILLION DOLLAR roster is anyone's guess.

But still, it is an away game, with no way for me to know what the manager is thinking in regards to the TIE/Normal/CT decision. Indeed, these D3 teams can often be the trickiest teams to plan for...

No, because as soon as you start caring, that's when BB yanks your chain and makes bad things happen to you and your team (coughmyseason31campaigncough)...

Good to see whomp being a dirtbag and CTing Rimmers and playing his starters for 3 games in a row to get the win. He's been plotting it all week at work! The BB gods then hand him a bot the following week!

I'm still trying to weigh up whether I have a better chance of winning the ABBL or the Battlers Tournament this season. I'd prefer to win the league if possible, but the tournament is still a good trophy to win, as it qualifies you for the B3 and can be considered a 'national championship' in it's own right...


I think you should go for the league. The Cup is over rated

Yeah I was planning it, haven't had a cup run for awhile. Good for the bb gods to help me out in the next round and 2 easier league games as well so no damage done really.

Good luck in the cup this season Mundy. I had to go for the league since I don't think Koop is going to stay on just one loss for long, and with the bad luck curse being transferred from me last season to whitewind this season this could be the best chance I get at the ABBL title for a while...

I was definitely punching above my weight. But after such a good start the wagon has started to fall apart. 1 week injury to my best player. Dejevu of last season it seems.

Well almost all the abbl teams rolled snake eyes. Thats means nearly half of them will get wiped next Thursday night.
