Well what do you know! The generals are 3-0, but tonight is a step up in weight class and a rivalry game to boot. Then Saturday a roadie to Deronimo to face our former rivals, who still consider the generals to be theirs. I believe this is what is called a litimus test.

My team is so old, I could have 6 drops in skill by our game.

After four games it doesn't look like there's a real clear top dog in the Big 8. Seems like the whole division is up in the air!

Cheek is hot out of the gate in club red but that race has quite the log jam in the middle and the nasties and hydro are due a correction down and up respectfully so that race is going to get wild. Tomorrow night a battle at the top of the blues with my generals making the trek up to the new river valley but the dogs are poised to leapfrog the winner of that contest though round 2 cannot be taken lightly as deronimo can attest.

Man, that one hurt. That's now three losses of 4 points or less. My guys really need to get better at finishing games.

https://youtu.be/A6Zb3T18Jms two of the three were on the road and the other was to a perennial contender. The NoCo is a tough place to play. This game does have a way of ripping out your heart. I tend to leave my absurdity for my cup exits.

A week of could of would of for the Generals. Looked real good for long portions of both contests. But against Cal a 19-7 turnover differential with probably 15 of those after halftime was the difference. And last night for 3 quarters a solid effort was done in by eight miscues in the final stanza, that coupled with a huge disparity in free throws (8-10 vs 25-27) in spite of a modest difference in team fouls (19-14) left management smelling some serious home cooking. Ahab had Moby Dick, Rick Sanchez has szchuan sauce and the Generals have Deronimo (4-21 lifetime)

And now cup consideration comes into play. A very rough draw with a trip to Wilmington to face a stout Tiger Sharks squad, though both managerial staffs are expecting the parking lot antics to reach Leeds vs Milwall levels. I haven't broken everyone down but I know Ladson also faces a stout challenge to keeping cup hopes afloat.

I don't think I've ever seen two teams that have played so many times. Granted, I don't check often. Still, quite the rivalry going.

When I was in III.9 Defenseless Babies (now in 3-7 I think) and Knights of St.John (defunct) were both there for about 15 seasons plus, otherwise I know of no one who has played so often.
