+1. Dislike. If in 2 seasons they don’t change it back bye bye BB.

My post may sound a bit rude, but I feel I need to remind you some facts.
Merging nations is always a big change in the game. That's why BB made a 2-season period before introducing changea to have a topic discussed - to let micronations users have any objections, because reverting the merge is almost impossible. I guess that if Icelandic community informed BB before the process, that it want to be excluded from it, they would have been a independent nation now.
Problem is, that Icelandic community seems to wake up right after the changes. Not only on global forums, but their national too. It's not the point of BB staff to annoy micronation communities, but it seems that you haven't used a lot of given chances to show us any feedback earlier, so we wasn't able to respond to it. Please understand that.

Couldn't agree more. There was a thread about The Merge by BB-Marin back in October where Iceland was listed as being merged, as it was inside the scope of 20 or less managers. So you should have known, and could have taken action earlier before the merge.

"inside the scope of 20 or less managers" you say it yourself, we currently have more than that, and have had up to 30 users last season, so what you say does absolutely not apply.

I guess if this is non-reversible you will then be even less active members in the future.

Góðar stundir.

Technically speaking, before the African merge there was (278277.1).
About making similar topics on national forums just before this season merge - well, maybe we should have create them along with main discussion of global, as it could increase amount of feedback a bit and be a additional way of communication about merges.

Island was included in the list of nations named to be merged in the thread named 'The Merge' so there was plenty warning that it was going to happen.

However even if you did say that you didn't want it to happen, it wouldn't of made the slightest bit difference. The merge was done to benefit the users in larger nations and give a fairer distribution of wealth throughout the game. I wouldn't be surprised if half the users from Scotland (where I'm from since you can't tell from my flag) left the game because of the merge but since that is about 6 people the majority of users wouldn't care.
