It highly depends on the target skill set. As an extreme case, even with lvl7 trainer you cannot cap perennial allstar if you only train OD.

For more realistic example, my players in utopia only needed 3-4 seasons to reach allstar level cap with lvl3 trainer and 2 position training, plus a few team training. This includes those with penalty (passing, pressure, ball handling at PG/SG) and those without (one on one/jump shot). They are near the limit for perennial allstar, which are their actual potential.

I agree that for higher leagues lvl4 is best value for money. Weekly salary of lvl4 is around 20k per week, but spikes to 50k per week at lvl5. Trainers with lvl5 - 7 are usually for NT or very competitive leagues, where the 3% boost in skills can change the outcome of the game. For lower leagues lvl3 also has good value costing around 10k per week.

I'd say if you are paying 20k a week for your advance trainer, then you should probably replace him, 15k seems more appropriate for an average, making it even better to have a LVL 4.

My bad. What I meant was if you distribute the staff bonus and severance over the number of weeks you hold the staff, you would pay an average of 20k a week for advanced trainer. So you are right that 20k is around the right time to replace the staff. Though I got lucky (I hope) getting advanced with average of 16k (starting salary 12+k, bid 9k).

By 15k average do you mean hiring staff at around 12k and replacing at 20k so the average is in between?

Hire at 11-12. Fire around 17. Cost should be under 10k and should be done, every 20 weeks I guess?
Average 14 (because it goes up faster later on, making it more often around the lower end), + 500 dollars a week for the salary over time, and plus a 17k severence fee one time

Average ... 15.5k?

Yup, I have roughly the same numbers. However, it took me a few weeks to get 12+k salary under 10k. Usually players are bidding 30-50k for them, so patience is needed.

It took me 3 readings just to get my head around the maths lol. What's the ideal numbers then for a superior one?

Haven't looked at superior trainers in a while, but from my old data ideal is 600k bid for 16k salary. Holding for 50 weeks gives an average of around 40k per week.

Thanks boss greedy! Heaps of difference in cost vs advanced which is just one level lower.. especially if you consider the upfront price to get one.
