It might be an option too. But most important thing now is to agree that the old-man strategy is an issue. If most of users will agree, then BB heads will be alarmed that they have to do something about it.

Is your main issue that old players are too cheap on the market so top teams can buy good old players to stay in top divisions? The teams who do pick up old players are going to see their players' valuations drop substantially in their 30s. The old man strategy actually costs a lot in the back end when the team tries to sell that player.

No, it is not my main issue. The main issue is that young players can't be better then old ones.

And is that an issue because it isn't realistic?
The BBs have indicated that isn't enough of a reason to change the gameplay, and I'd agree with that.

I suggested to change speed of trainings depending on players potencial. Probably it is no more then 50 new lines of code. So I don't think you should talk about it as if it were a big thing

If you had done any computer programming at all, you would know that no, it's never "no more than 50 new lines of code" ;)

If you change training speed, you'll just make high potential players very expensive and make the game even more unbalanced towards big teams with millions in the bank.
Old players were young one day, so for every 34yo player, you're bound to find the equivalent 28yo player with the same skill or better, it's just that they cost so much more and are more of a long term investment. The old man strategy works really well in the short term, but you got to keep renewing the team

Maybe hidden skill, that would determine how fast player trains would make training a bit more interesting? 1% draftees would have lets say 50% faster training rate compared to usual speed. It would be possible to have young players with high tsp.

You can actually win with a bunch of 25-30 y/o's. The only problem is how to acquire those talent.

I never did any actual programming before, but I do assume it shouldn't be too hard to do with the codes for BB, especially when BB-Anthony could speed up the training speed of his trainees that easily (and got himself kicked off the BB team).

That said, I do agree that it shouldn't actually be directly proportional to potential or the rich teams will just keep getting richer. Maybe a hidden stat like mentioned above. Even then I wouldn't want it to have too big an impact. Maybe one extra pop a season or something minor.
