Last week we dropped an important game to Hong Kong. It may or may not mean much in the race for a final 4 semi.

Sorry guys but of a hiatus there on the social front but the team has been performing on the court.

In the 2nd round we started with a loss to China. Whilst losing is not what we encourage, it wasn't a shock.

Singapore was out latest match up and we took care of them 128- 73. Importantly we also saw Taiwan drop a game to Lubnan, swinging a top 2 position in our favour.

So this week we find ourselves trying to hold onto a top 2 position. We face Taiwan. Hopefully we see some exceptional gameshape on Friday and the coaching bit is very easy from my end!

We lost to Taiwan overnight in overtime, but overcome their extra enthusiasm used to hold onto 2nd place. Looks like we will face Hong Kong on Friday, so are undefeated.

Hong Kong took us out in the semi, 73- 85. We gave it a crack and with really good shape from our trainers, it just wasn't enough against a really well rounded team. Good job to them and the Hong Kong v China final is a juicy one, only one can win it but both so deserving!

Congratulations once again for back to back mvp titles to Donato Zanchetta, trained and owned by K-romp of Cove Convicts! He has done it again! Tied for runner up between (my own) whitewinds trainee Cummings from The Rimmers, and Gregory Bishop trained by Greyhound11 of Geelong United.

Zanchetta now has a few all time records to his name-
Lets start with Most ever rebounds, which I think once finalised is going to read 343? Smashing the best ever by 15! He is also likely to jump to 4th all time scorer with 398pts, once again if my calculations are correct and BB hasn't already added the totals...
He was the 2nd highest ever u21 mvp totals, the most since season 35!
He is the first back to back mvp winner since Cadeo "massive" Phan back in season 31.

Definitely a rare gem for our team and built with u21s only in mind. He is also currently for sale! But his build is not for everybody's team.

We are back on the big stage next season so scouting for me starts today on Xmas eve! Send me through your 100tsp 20yr olds (I know you've trained one up ready for me... ) so I can add them for a scrimmage next week. Or time in and get excited anyway, the u21s is a great part of this game and worth following along with.
