I´m in the same situation and I really can choose to promote or not :) ... and for Nerazzurri, I´m going to promote, because it´s honor to be in top division... also the attendance is better, so you can loose 25% of 6000 tickets or 40% of 10000 tickets, it is comparable...

I also vote for promotion. D.1 is honour. Also you will get promotion bonus, this should help you. Teams that are in D.1 now will loose next season 45% of their income. While they loose on TV matches 59,2%, you will loose only 41,7% comparing to this season. This one also could help you to get an advantage against other teams and get used to new economy faster. So, there´s no question about promoting. Thre is only question abou demoting:)))

Can anyone confirm this bonus will be given starting from this season?

The news items weren't precise about this, and they are season 6 changes.

Noone knows. We didn´t get confirmation about this one. (Oh, noone is bad word. Someone knows, but doesn´t tell:D)

The question is:
Are you promoted at the end of season, or at the begining?

Well.
I'd have to say in between, since I can't possibly imagine the season ending without the promoted teams, and I can't possibly imagine the season starting without the promoted teams.

If we consider it to be in between, and being in between not season 6, and being the changes supposed to start at season 6, then I would think no prize for now.

But that seems too rigorous to be true.

It's a little bit bigger than this: if in a specific context a team makes more money on the long run by being at D2, then he has more chance to win D1 by staying more time in D2 and then promoting when he feels he has a chance of wining; instead of being at D1 making less money and having no chance at title.

But I don't think that's the case here in BB, and I don't think it will be even with these changes, specially because of the announced attendance change.

But remember that only one team promotes each season to D1 so he actualy dont know if he will be also in Finals next season because some strong teams from D3 also can promote to D2 so I think if there is the chance to promote then go ahead!!! and in future everything can happen!! Easier is to stay in D1 I think than promote to D1.....

After several days of first anger, then quiet reflection, then a reassessment of the numbers (for the nth time)... If I could, I'd have relegated from the EBBL this season.

I don't know how big the attendance is going to be next season (a rise), and I don't know whether I'll sell out.
As I don't know whether I'll sell out, I don't know what prices to set for the start of the season.
I don't know whether I should expand (I probably should).

I know they're taking 40%, which although won't kill me, it'll stop me improving anywhere in my team until I figure out how to turn a profit. Of course the teams higher up the EBBL with their huge arenas will make less... but they'll be making profit (rather than treading water). I see nothing in my current situation that doesn't suggest I should try and stay up next season.

You are absolutely right. I am the perfect example. This is the second season when my team were trapped at semi-final. I wont in D1 :=) but little morgen (tomorrow).
Fortune is on other side :=)

Sorry for my bad English.
