then you shouldn't wait untill the last seconds to bid. It's useless anyway, since the deadline will be extended every time a bid is made.

Well that is a terrific explanation.

Well, don't expect a magical solution that will keep your game clock synchronized at all times. This is just not going to happen.

Do you need an explanation or a possible solution? I gave the latter. Bid earlier.

Above and beyond when I bid and didn't bid the clock was/is still wrong which is a bug, minor at best, but something to look at for the developers. I just hope the solution to other future bugs isn't "change your behavior, not the problem."

I am sure the site can auto-refresh unconditionally every 5 seconds in order to keep the local clock synchronized to the server clock. I am also positive that even though this will solve your problem, you wouldn't really like it on all sorts of other levels. Other than that, there is really no easy way to fix this.

I can't believe it. Do you want to say, that there is a problem to send correct time? Time I got from BB was desychronized against time used on TL about 1 minute.
I reloaded page several seconds before my last (unsuccessful) bid. There must be some bug on BB server side, I'm persuaded. Btw, I have never hit the problem like this on HT during 5 years.
Btw, why there is not button for refresh on player page when he is on TL?

The question is, if BBmans read this thread. There no response, no feedback.

From what I know, the time you see uses your PC clock, so desynchs can happen over time. My personal observations that the clock wanders quite a while if you use the 'Back' button a lot and never refresh.

Then again, you have 3 minutes to bid and noone is forcing you to bid in the last second, right? What do you think the speed would be if every single session synchronized with the server time every second?

I've seen a lot of assertions here without evidence. I think we need a clear airing of confirmed facts.

Fact: The clock in the main table's title bar is not in synch with the user's clock, even initially. I just started a brand new clean IE session and the BB clock was initially 8 seconds behind my system time. (IE did not take 8 seconds to start up, BTW.)

Fact: The clock used for transfer times is not in synch with the displayed time. I just tested right now on www2, and a transfer scheduled to end at 2:35:28 ended at 2:34:55 (my system time), 2:34:47 (BB site displayed time).

AFAIK, my system time here at work is synchronized to a reliable network time server. There's no excuse for the BB servers to not be synchronized to a standard as well.

I wanted to write here a lot of arguments, but user "oeuftete" did it already. :-)

So I add ideas I'm missing here - you wrote: "you have 3 minutes to bid ..."
But I don't reload page every 5 seconds (specialy when there is no reload button in page and reload force me to confirm "resend" ... really good solution:-/) ... and sometimes there are performance problems with servers and I reload page successfully several second before deadline -> this is hard to influence from my side.

Now, what I'm strongly missing is REPONSE of BB-mans! Hey, wake up! Can you please write at least one sentense that you registred the problem or that you are solving it or you will start to solve the problem in several days/weeks/...

I think that communitation with community is importat, we need (I belive ... not only me and my friend) some feedback, please. Otherwise people will happen angry a start to leave the game. :-(
