I think its a bit out of place to say that things are going to be uncontrollable. Right now we have basically all the teams in all the divisions with the same kind of players.. and understandably most of the teams can't support the best players in the game... this is by design. The top divisions should have the best players, and the most economic resources to support those players, the lower leagues have worse players with fewer economic resources. Its hard to tune exactly what the parameters should be for the economy when the top divisions have players which are worse than they should be, and bottom divisions have players that are relatively better than they should be.

I've got no doubt that parameters of the economic model will need to be adjusted (i.e. how much a player of such and such skill makes, or how many fans a division X team can sustain).. however, we think by having clear and large economic differences between divisions.. unlike in hattrick.. we will avoid many of the economic problems. Charles has some pretty clear ideas about this, and I hope he chimes in.. as he also has more hattrick experience than I.

well domenico, no one was declaring anything about the future of BB. Nobody made any statements that things will become uncontrolable. Niko was just expressing a concern that many others have, not trying to make any predictions of the future of BB.

if he mentioned the exponential curve of salary growth, even though we haven't actually seen it yet, is because I heard from someone somewhere in this forum that the salary growth would have also a exponetial growth here, perhaps not exactly like hattrick but similar, and i told him. Don't remember who said it or when, but doesn't really matter, cause if the salaries aren't going to grow exponentially as a players skills grows then you can tell me right now and I'll say that that's great.

However what we are seen right now is everyone losing money every week, and that's even when we don't have any good trained players (no high salaries). So Niko's post was more like a question about how are the teams going to acquire revenue to follow the growth of expenses (and I didn't hear any answers to that in the 4 negative replies so far) and it was just to initiate the conversation, because we all know is an important matter that interests a lot of people.

hell, i'll be the first to leave if i find out that the same thing that happened to my team on HT will happen here.

Another thing, the post was not "Raonne style" since he wrote by himself after having a conversation with me in the bus, and by the way he never played HT.

About "world class players" (what domenico and juicepats were saying), as far as I know in BB we are still able to train players, and with training they WILL INCREASE their skills and their salaries WILL INCREASE. I don't care if he will be a world class player, if he will be awesome in one million skills or not, the point is the comparison between the guaranteed increase of expenses against the not so guaranteed (at least so far) increase of revenue. The suggestions made were about revenue (sponsors and stuff).

One other thing, about the differences between divisions and all the stuff Forrest has mentioned on the previous post and that I heard some from Charles also, I actually think that's a great idea. We have to wait more to see how it goes, but it seems to make a lot of sense.

But does all that mean that teams in first division will make a hell lots of money, so they can have their 1st division players (which should be around the best players existing in the game) ??

Well, I just wanted to know how things are going to work.. And actually I'm more concern about other matters right now (like Substitutions and other stuff) so I wouldn't even be posting here yet if my name haven't been mentioned a few times, and also to defend Niko that was only trying to raise a question and give some suggestions of his own, that were actually pretty valid (salary cap, sponsors and other stuff).

I have a good sense of how my fans will show up at one of my games...I have upgraded my arena two times now.

I think that for the top division teams, the amount of revenue that can be had from ticket sales far outstrips anyone's arena capacity.

I'm aggressive in upgrading my arena.

After the current expansion, I'll have 7600 seats, and that number will rise as soon as I can afford it.

Basically, it's the old axiom of needing to spend money to make money.

But the problem is that for each sit built, we need to fill it for like 20 games (at standard price) to pay for the investment, which means 2 seasons. So this is a long-term investment also. And a big one. First I need to know how my team will survive 2 seasons so I can start making investments like that.
