I think it's better to post this in the bug forum.

I have the same problem.

It's not a bug.

This is the appropriate forum.

Could it be that a better coach makes more time sharing then a 1 star coach (which I have). I always wonder why he does not make more time sharing because he does have several good players at his disposal for the same position. My opponents however make more time sharing and use almost all of their players. Maybe a more expensive (better) coach would do better?

Your coach and your trainer are two different people. You can't upgrade or change your coach (yet). Only your trainer.

When you have trained stamina, your starters get more fit than backups, and therefor play more minutes !! (Coach try to use starters as much as possible) The difference in minutes will then increase evenmore, logically.

To share minutes you have to put your less fit players as starters, and your "best starters" as backups. Then they will come on when the "B-starters" are tired... (Try not to put all your less fit players as startersin the same match, One or two in one match, and another one or to in the next...)

This might cost you victory once in a while, but in the end you train more players and your results will turn more solid over time.

Example... If you have 3-4 youngsters you want to develope into stars, make sure they have low stamina in the start, so you can easier control their playing minutes. When they reach their main skill training goals, fit them up with stamina training and starters possitions to complete them !! (sell with great profit, and do it again)

In my opinion not getting a reasonable minutes distribution because you have trained stamina is a flaw in the game engine.

Your solution may work (indeed its the only thing I've found that helps at all) but you certainly shouldn't need to have 5 poor stamina starters to get a decent spread of minutes.

Essentially you currently get penalised for having high stamina players (at least as far as training is concerned)

My team has a good distribution of Stamina, and for the most part I never have a minutes problem.

It must be related to more than just stamina but here's some of the splits I've had this season

Game 1
PG(8stam - 45 mins) _ bPG (7stam - 3 mins)
SF(9 - 46) _ bSF(5 - 2)
C(10 - 48) _ bC(10 - 0)

Game 3
SG(4 - 44) _ bSG/bSF(7 - 17)
C(10 - 48) _ bC(10 - 0)

Game 4
SF(9 - 48) _ bSG/bSF(7 - 28) _ bbSF(5 - 0)

Game 5
SG(5 - 45) _ bSG(7 - 3)

Game 6
SG(7-40) _ bPG/bSG(8 - 34)
SF(5 - 40) _ bSF(5-8)
PF(4 - 43) _ bPF(9 - 5)
C(10 - 48) _ bC(10 - 0)

Game 7
PG: 42mins (fouled out) / SG:42 / SF:48 / PF:33 / C:41

Game 8
26 / 40 / 48 / 48 / 38

Game 9
38 / 44 / 31 / 36 / 42

As you can see players having 40+ minutes is not an isolated incident and 7 players have played the entire 48 minutes of games.
