I'm guessing that he left his lineup blank and set it as his default lineup. Because of this, his opponents set their attitude to take it easy, causing that team without players to put more effort than their opponent.
This might give an advantage to those who will play him in the future but I think it is just fair since the people who will be able to play against him are selected at random at the start of the season. They are just lucky.
