6th or 7th dont really matter though, it is just higher gate receipts if you go to 3 games, i was confident my team would stand up against demon or wake in the relegation series, i would've played the transfer markert different though & my team wouldnt be as well rounded as i think it will be at its peak now.

This seems so simple really. FIrst of all I have worked on computer games so you always want solutions that are easy to code. Second why do you want to punish teams that did badly? In the NBA teams down the bottom get high draft picks and unless they are stupid (like NYK) or insane (Like Mem) they use them to make themselves better (ok this is really a different topic). The draftees are a lot more random in BB which is not so good but at least the lower teams should still be able to get some money.

So Great 8 no 5 plays Big 8 no 5 in a series of best of 3. Proper games. Proper training. Proper gate. Just as good as everyone else in the league (except poor 8th). There is no more incentive to drop to 6th. I can't imagine anyone not wanting to make the playoffs and wanting to drop from 4th to 5th but who knows.

Simple and easy.

personally, i like the 6 place much more then the fourth or third place because of the much higher income. With fouth place you most likely flew out directly, and even if you get to the next game you only made 2/3 home game income ... Which still isn't enough to get the checks paid.

As a sixth you must likely get 5/3 home income, and earn money in the po time.

I understand that argument but I still think I'd rather finish 3rd/4th than 6th. Even though you're very unlikely to lose against the 7th placed team from the other conference, especially if you're a better team that has "tanked", you still run the risk of losing. Perhaps the BB's should remove the income from the relegation playoff games to stop people doing this, as it seems against the nature of the game.

i prefer to shut down the player salarys and tv income to zero, when you don't have a game in this week. Because this will also reduce the different to the top teams, even if you don't get a chamiponship bonus in the top league the difference could be huge.
I would expect 1.500.000$ if the bulls wins the championship in 4 matches which makes is taff to catch up.
