"Springfield Storm Squeaks by Sneaky Bastards in OT, Earn 17th win"

Springfield Storm has grown accustomed to winning at home this season (they're undefeated at home). Although that first blemish on their home record almost came on Tuesday night. Springfield wasn't as sharp as we're used to seeing this season, trailing Sneaky Bastards by 14 at halftime. In the 3rd quarter, Springfield came out firing on all cylinders outscoring the away team 32-19 in the quarter. The 3rd quarter come back was aided by Demis Passas' buzzerbeater 3 to end the quarter. Perhaps Passas' biggest shot of the season pulled the Storm within one to start the 4th. The 4th quarter brought several lead changes, but ultimately one tie score to end regulation. The Springfield stormed through overtime, easily outscoring Sneaky Bastards 17-8 and pacing themselves for the league leading 17th win. When asking Coach Clouse on what he thought of the 17th win all he had to say was, "The only thing I'll be satisfied with is a Championship". And at this point, Springfield has to definitely be considered a Championship contender, which is a far cry from last year when the Springfield Storm finished 13-9, but went on a cinderella run all the way to the League Finals where they lost to Hunterz in 3 games. It's obvious that the fans play a vital role in winning ball games. And the 9,400 fans in the stands went home happy. One thing is certain, if Springfield gets home court advantage in this years play-offs, you can bet your bottom dollar that they won't need a miracle run to get to the Finals this time around.

Interesting write up. It is a vastly different story for your team this season from last.
I sort of think after 3 consecutive finals appearances you are due. You almost deserve to win just for the sake of making it there again if you do make it for a 4th time in a row.

I think this might be your lucky season but honestly there are a few teams with proven ability to manage well and arenas large enough to make staying in DIII after promotion a serious possibility.

Obviously Storm, Krushers, Hornetss, Miu, or Delpra is promoting and I think every single one of you have a good chance of surviving up in D.III. Good luck to you all!
