Well, vs Gators, @ Big Beavers, and vs WildHoochieKoos. This is bad, especially since my starting SG is injured. Can't wait to see if my new replacement can step up!

Let's get into these games (note: I did decide to cover Snake River vs the O'Ballers)

Big 8 Power rankings:
1A) BPE(9-2)
1B)Gators(11-0)
3)Big Beavers(9-2)
4)WildHoochieKoos(7-4)
5)Snake River Panthers(4-7)

Great 8 power rankings:
1)Hard2Guard(9-2)
2)Boynton Birdseye(9-2)
3A)Clemson Cavs(8-3)
3B)The Duck City Ninjas(7-4)
5)Jersey Blazing Heat(6-5)

discussion/explanation: 4 games to get into starting with BPE and Clemson. I'm not even going in depth on this, simply I will show that Clemson made 17 shots the whole game. That's not a typo. I'll now start covering H2G and Hooch...in summary, the game was closer than the Clemson one but H2G still dominated basically every statistical category. Next, I decided to include Snake River and the O'Ballers. In his last game with the team, Jim Jones went out with a bang. 32 points, 7 rebounds, 6 steals, and 6 3's en route to a solid victory. The only things that kept it remotely close were free throws and Gaugl's superhuman efforts. Lastly, we have Gators playing a surprisingly tight game against Jersey, even with effort considered. It seemed the 3 ball was mainly what kept Jersey in the game, especially against a box and one defense, even if it was the outside variety. Turnovers also seemed to hurt the Gator's cause, but in the end, they got the victory thanks to rebounds and...drumroll please...free throws. That along with really good frontcourt production, in general, this game.

Since I have 2 game days worth of games to cover, I'll be doing the discussion part of this a bit differently from what Y'all are used to from me.

Big 8 Power rankings:
1A) BPE(11-2)
1B)Gators(13-0)
3)Big Beavers(11-2)
4)WildHoochieKoos(8-5)
5)Snake River Panthers(5-8)

Great 8 power rankings:
1)Hard2Guard(11-2)
2)Boynton Birdseye(10-3)
3A)Clemson Cavs(9-4)
3B)The Duck City Ninjas(7-6)
3C)Jersey Blazing Heat(7-6)

discussion/explanation: instead of reviewing games, I'll cover how each team has done since my last ranking update...starting with Snake River, who beat a CPU team and play H2G closer than I would've thought they would. Up next I'll cover Jersey, who had a really good week in beating Hooch and pushing the Big Beavers to the edge of defeat but not quite over. For Duck City, they drew a rough week, with losses to the Gators by 20 and the Big Beavers by 10. Up next we have Hooch who beat a CPU team but took a tough loss to up and coming Jersey team who just may be in a battle for the 4th spot in the playoffs down the stretch (maybe). Up next is Clemson who beat a CPU team then got clobbered by the Gators in a similar fashion to the BPE game a week earlier. As for the rest of the teams...Boyton lost a game against a difficult to beat BPE team then handled their business against a CPU team, Big Beavers used a furious late rally to squeak by Jersey then beat Duck City in a close one, BPE beat Boyton and obliterated the O'Ballers, H2G handled their business against a CPU team and Snake River, and the Gators remain unbeaten so far with wins over Duck City by 20 and Clemson by 50.

I don't have to put details about blowouts today because all the games were relatively close. Yay!

Big 8 Power rankings:
1A) BPE(12-2)
1B)Gators(14-0)
3)Big Beavers(12-2)
4)WildHoochieKoos(8-6)
5)Snake River Panthers(6-8)

Great 8 power rankings:
1)Hard2Guard(12-2)
2)Boynton Birdseye(10-4)
3A)Clemson Cavs(9-5)
3B)The Duck City Ninjas(8-6)
3C)Jersey Blazing Heat(8-6)

discussion/explanation: Back to the normal format, starting with Hooch and Duck City. Duck City dominated the first half and held on to win the game. Assist to turnover ratio and the 3-ball really helped Duck City, while all those missed free throws that Hooch had added up in the end. Up next, Gators and Boyton. The Gators controlled the first half, but Boyton furiously rallied in the third quarter...only for the Gators to hold them off in the fourth. The major difference in the game seemed to be free throws; both teams were efficient but the Gators took and made 3 times as many free throws in the game. Finally, we have Big Beavers and Clemson. the Beavers trailed for most of the game but kept it close and rallied for a 4th quarter comeback win. There was no clear statistical advantage for either team in the end. After watching the replay of the last 90 seconds, Big Beavers came up huge on defense with 2 key blocks. both rebounded by the guy who blocked it, a steal from Wade James that led to the go-ahead bucket by Brathen and holding Clemson scoreless for the final 70 seconds in the game.

Well, Clemson is in trouble. Regardless of the outcome between me and the Heat, the Cavs are likely to lose to the Birdseye. Even if Clemson manages to win, they'll need to beat them by 80 something points to make the playoffs.

Hey guys, this is my attempt at getting the forums back up and going. The buzzerbeater playoffs has officially begun and it seems quite exciting considering the fact this season there has been so many surprises, so let's not get too bold with our predictions. Tuesday Night will be featuring, Duck City v Boynton. Duck City and Boynton have played a total of 2 times within the season with Boynton winning both games, but in an outside scrimmage the Duck City beat Boynton. Duck City had a record of 14-8 which is equivalent to have a 52-30 season in the NBA, and Boynton were 16-6 which is equivalent to having a 60-22 season. Boynton's fast paced out side style of basketball vs Duck City's Mid Range and Outside game, and scoring from the wingmen type of play. Also I've made a pickup of a Allstar (Max potential according to another source) which will make it harder for Duck City. We'll see what happens. Next in the division we H2G against the Jersey Blazing Heat. H2G record is 19-3 which is near 67 wins in the NBA against Jersey's 13-9 which is around 47. At the beginning of the season H2G was playing a hard physical grit&grind type game but now it looks like they pushed out to a fast paced outside game, and Jersey's same type of play, H2G beat Jersey in all games this season, We'll see what happens. Now let's move over to the other division. BPE and Beavers aren't this might be an interesting game to watch. They are 1-1 in their season series, BPE are 20-2 which is equivalent to an NBA's 74-8 vs Beavers 17-5 which equivalent to 63, both are very good but obviously 20-2 is better, but it's closer than it seems they are 1-1 in the season, BPE Inside style of play vs Beavers Generic style of play. Last game to cover, Gators vs Koos, Gators PTB vs Koos PTB, Gators had a crazy season 78 wins equivalent to an NBA Season vs Koos mediocres season where it looks like they were just trying to pick up draft picks based off there forum posts about them. Anyways I didn't make any predictions I just put out facts. This league is very unpredictable we'll see what happens. In continuing to my effort of keeping this league alive I'll also be doing player of the evening on Tuesday, there is less to pick from which makes it harder and easier at the same time. Thanks for reading my garbage, come read more garbage Tuesday night.

Wow, I'm telling y'all I was not expecting this at all. Going in, I was hopeful but really expecting to get swept. Lackey has been worth every dollar of that massive salary, and the team has really come along in the playoffs. I'm probably gonna make some moves in the offseason to get better for the III league, but I'm just so surprised rn. Good season to Hard2Guard, BPE, Boyton, and everyone else. I'll still check on y'all; I'm interested in seeing how Boyton's second season will go and how Snake River and Jersey are going to do next year after strong finishes to the season.
