Sending out a questionnaire to all users to determine their thoughts on the direction of the game is something that the BB team has discussed in the past (fairly recently) and it is something that could be done at some point in the future. That information would certainly be useful and it could help us understand where the average user's priorities lie.

You know I think you are the greatest BB ever, but please no more action fakes.

Designing a simple questionnaire is really easy, there are plenty options/ttols on the internet and I am sure, there are users that have experience in this area. Give them a 1-year supporter for their effort and you'll see some results in a month or two.

A few suppoorter packages for those who took part in the poll. Thats a bingo.

From what I've seen even a cheap app would cost five figures to build using an outside contractor and I'm not sure those in control of the BB finances are willing to spend the necessary money to make it happen.

Okay, so now at least someone on the BB side is putting out some numbers. I suggested that crowdfunding an app would be a viable solution to get it done. My suggestion would be, that you find somebody that can code the apps (IOS and Android), get an estimation of the costs for like 3 different versions (basic, intermediate and advanced) and try to get the donation train on full steam.

Also: Utopia made 10k with the first batch of teams, donations exceeded 1k after 1 week... Money is really not the problem.

Well, again thanks for your answers. I like the way you are letting community know and understand whats really happening, because all we want is to help.

So, hearing that you might never have the possibility to go for the App is really bad, but we need to try something. I even think that putting some money on an App could give some good return later. More users, more $ from ads and more BB-members maybe?!

As previous users said, I agree that crowdfunding specifically for an App would be a great idea. Figure out how much you would need for a simple but consistent Application, then build a nice project showing everyone how good BB is, and that he really needs help to keep making users happy for free, and maybe you get that $$.
If you don't...people who invested get their money back (I guess, not sure how it works) and all goes back to normal, and we understand that it isn't really possible.

I did a bit research into Kickstater about if there was a crowdfunding success story for a game similar to BB. I found a game called Bleacherzone that managed to raise 5 figures to get their website up and running. Looks like they are also planning an app with more funding.

I think this is the way to go for BB. If we set a $15000 as a target and BB stump at least half from Utopia profits it will give the impression of a successful crowd sourcing project on its way to getting funded. It is also easy to advertise a Kickstarter and could create some publicity about the game. I've seen celebs/gaming personalities, with hundreds of thousands followers, tweet links to crowd sourcing projects. Also there could be articles about how to keep free to play games alive in a pay to win age.

I would recommend Marin/sb. in charge should define the framework of the app and post the description on upwork - you'll receive plenty of offers from independent developers and companies.
