Statement released by BBPA:

Our issue is not with the newspaper going by the title "The Eagle". Our problem lies with the motivational tactics of Mountain Eagle GM "Tough". We have recieved testimony from reliable sources stating that he has verbally and physically abused players for a long time. This is unacceptable behavior and our players will not tolerate it. It is hardly a joke.

As of tomorrow all Mountain Eagles players will be on strike until Tough either resigns or issues a full apology for his actions in regards to this. Also we would like 1 million dollars. We await your decision.

I've never seen tough this mad until now. This is the only time Ive ever seen tough be this mad. This is all true, ask Valter Vasko. I swear he never laid a hand on us, at all.This is all true.

Mr. Tough if you expect us to believe that you went from kind, loving General Manager to certified madman over the course of one night you are sorely mistaken. Coincidentally we did ask Mr. Vasko about the goings-on in the Mountain Eagle organization. We also spoke to a Mr. Nick Fritz, who, Im sure you remember, played for the Eagles up until September of this year. Both testimonies had descriptive accounts of incidents similar to the one described in your newspaper.

Fritz in particular, got quite emotional when describing an instance during season 21, when the players were forced to brand themselves with an "L" every time they lost a game.

Fritz was also kind enough to provide a picture of himself after one particularly brutal beating, which you can find here

Impressive Win

The Mountain Eagles win against Almdudlers in a score of 99-77. "Hmmmmm, rather impressive." said GM tough. Player of the game was Ye Huaien, who had another 26 point day, with 56% shooting and 50% from downtown. "Another win. We showed how good we are. Now let's go and keep marching on into the playoffs." Another good player on the day was SF Mykyta Ditkovskiy. He had 16 points, on 41% shooting and 50% from 3. Here he is: "Well, no biggie, as long as we win we are fine. Gotta go day in and day out, trying to win each game as we can. Let's keep going. We're 2nd Place right now. It'd be real great if we can hold this 2nd place right here. Common Eagles, we can do it!" Here is GM tough: "Well right now we and another team are in talks of trading a very good backup Big Man, with the shooting skills of former 6th Man of the year, Dezider Dekis. Let's see if the trade falls though. We'd like to strengthen our bench up a little. Now as for the league, we are still trying in our best efforts to get to the best place possible. Our goal right now is 3rd. If we can do that, we can get booted out of the playoffs, and then use our cash to start in trading talks about getting the well needed PG of our team. Well after the Texans vs. Patriots game last night, GM tough was mad and started to feel antsy about today's game. So then tough said, "Can you give me a lil hope for the Texans?" "No" said newest acquisition Anatoly Tomilin. "but we can give you a win this Tuesday."


That's what they did. They gone to Dodge Arena and gave a good ol fassion butt whupping to the Storm Crows. They destroyed them, 111-71. The biggest win in Mountain Eagles history was today. Where everyone came together, shared the ball, and did what they had to do. Player of the game is Stillfried, who absolutely DONE his job, getting 18 points , 17 boards, and 3 blocks on the side too. "Man, we were just having fun out there. All I know is that I felt like playing street ball today. But now I know I am a lil too old for that." *chuckles* Here is Marcos Tirado, who also had a double double, the other way though. He had 14 points and 11 helpers on the day....."Man felt good out there. I was plain serious about today. These last two games we've been bringing our A-Game. Now let's keep bringing this A-Game in there. If we can keep this momentum we can just might beat our rival, Rum." Here is Ye, who had 15 points on the day: "Didn't feel like shooting today. I felt like passing, rebounding, and giving other opportunities for the team to score. In the 1st Half we were nothing but ball. In the 2nd Half we slacked off but we knew by then we were going to stay ahead. Now let's rest. Go next week to Snow's place, and beat them."
