Again - the game document is not the fact, as the maps at the time of Galileo had not been a fact.
They only had been a fact of what people thought and not that their understanding was right.

The key distinction is that the mapmakers did not create the planet. BB developers created, or at least have published, and therefore assert the correctness of the game manual. If, as the creators and controllers of this site and game, they assert something in the manual, and then the implementation of that is as described, it is incorrect to call it a bug.
Any developer, designer, system person or a product manager has flows on his work.
The fact that it is written does not mean that this is the way it should be.

Once the staff members could not have been picked by a team but they had been automatically chosen for them, and that what was written in the manuals.
They found it to be wrong, and changed it. [PS - I wasn't here at that time, but this is what I understood have happened]

And I still can't seriously believe you are concerned about some "tens of thousands" of profit - that amount of money is miniscule in the game and certainly not something that one would sack all of his/her staff for if they weren't planning on doing so anyway.
Once again a sentence which is weird getting from a user from Div-3...
Tens of thousands of dollars are nothing to your team? Really?...

And that is not a bug, neither was the new feature a bug fix. Developers can and do decide to implement functionality in different ways as their product lifecycle continues. A bug is a logic or syntax error that causes an undesired behavior in the program - not something that a user feels might possibly one day make an allowed user action be slightly more desirable.

And I still can't seriously believe you are concerned about some "tens of thousands" of profit - that amount of money is miniscule in the game and certainly not something that one would sack all of his/her staff for if they weren't planning on doing so anyway.

The difference between my high and low arena income in the recently-concluded third part of the season (after interconference) is just about fifty thousand. My merchandise revenue is roughly 40k per week, on average. My salaries have been more than 200k per week. I am not about to go out firing staff for some tens of thousands and then having to go out and spend more than that replacing them - it's just stupid, especially when we're talking about an amount that is inconsequential compared to other revenue and expenses.

ah...?
Once in a while you need to replace your staff member anyhow.
It is about once in a season or two.
The payment you need to pay a staff member is calculated accroding to both his salary and the purchase value.
Selling him earlier does not mean you are losing the amount of the purchase.

Doing as I suggested will give a net profit of tens of thousands. If that is something that you do not care about, I can sell you each season a bench warmer and you can pass me those extra tens of thousands that you do not care about (at Div-3)

Well, I for one think this suggestion is clear. Now we just need to see if it will be implemented or not.

Does anyone think there's something to add here?

I just feel that this long ping pong doesn't allow people to really comment and read you suggestion, if they like it or not. So I just suggest to stop it. I think your suggestion is very clear and that the discussion went a bit overboard. So maybe a step back will just help here...

I agree, many posts involving Pini have become too large with a lot of posts, that state the same things. As it takes too long to read with no new info actually in it, it kills the intrest on the topic in hand.

People should try to keep it short and not post 20 post by themselves in an hour...

Nice of you to add a smiley but it's not funny. You are damaging other users experience with your behavior...

Staff and players are two completely different things. In real life players don't get paid to play for their national teams barring bonuses, but why massager, coach and doctor do?

The coach/trainer coaches/trains the players.
The doctor has one group of clients... the players.
etc.

As long as the players are out of the payroll, their assistance staff should be out just as much.
