Check mate. You got me this time, congrats. I'm not as much of a sore loser as I was once before...but I dislike you very, very much. ;)

In all seriousness, though...

Congrats to both teams in the finals and good luck! Well deserved.

Damn, I hate losing. I'm the biggest poor sport. I hope ZYX is here next season. I have a bone to pick with him. ;0

My trainee's are going to be expensive next season. How does the tax exception work again? It well be nice to further develop my players in D-III, however. They're not exactly ready for D-II, but one more season...they'll be pretty awesome.

The tax exception is basically whatever portion of a player's salary was added by training you gave the player since you added him doesn't count when figuring out the penalty you pay for running a weekly deficit. For example, if you're running -100k/week, normally you'd pay 50k/week in OET, but if you have a player you bought at a 5k salary equivalent and he's now being paid 85k/week, that 80k is exempted and you pay 10k/week instead in OET (100 - 80 = 20k, at 50%).

Which, now that I read it, doesn't clear it up at all.

So I still get taxed for the 3-5K salaries my prospects were drafted with? Bastards.

That actually cleared it up pretty well, thanks. I hate losing money however, so this tax exception thing is pretty lame. It doesn't give me any more incentive to train home grown players than before, very disappointing.

Not necessarily. He did some creative things against my team that luckily, for me, didn't work out. Had he started his hot shot pg at the normal position I would have lost. There are more games to go.
