Well, I knew on the road to lionpride was a game I could lose, but that doesn't make it less disappointing. Gg oriolekid, the squad played well. Can't say I'm terribly disappointed to split the games this week, though. I feel pretty good about it. Rhino and homeboyz are off to rough starts. Losing vahi is tough. Dunno what's going on with rhino. I'm sure they'll right the ship soon. Huge win for ballstars.

If I'm 2-0 while shooting 8.3% on 3-pointers, I can honestly say that things only get better.
And I hope everybody has depth inside. In two games, my opponents have 3 DQs among centers and PFs. If you don't have backups, now's the time to head down to the car wash to find that guy who averaged double digits in rebounding for two seasons in the USDL before he got caught snorting meth off a dead hooker's ass.

Any other team, I'd be surprised by a salaried squad like yours off to a hot start, but it's kilof. Kid's a natural.

I will admit i am surprised to Homeboyz & also rhino open the season at 0-2 but the injury for homeboyz is a HUGE injury and its a 2 week injury (4 game window). I feel like scoring is up across the league early with 6 teams avg near 100 PPG. I am looking and trying to figure out how are we going to defend with out fouling. As clearly we are putting teams to the FT line too much and really showing must interest in defending

I won't say I expected to run the table this season, but I certainly didn't expect to get shellacked by 18 points any time this season, especially not the first game. Hopefully, the Scrap Heaps' finances cripple him soon, because if this is the squad he's going to carry throughout the season then we'll all have better luck next season. This is the most talented BB team I've ever had in all my seasons(which included many in D2) and I have promotion aspirations this season.

anyone ever wonder if there is actually new trainers or doctors being added to the staff market? are the free agent staffers just the ones being fired after getting being replaced?

I know the ones being replaced do go to the list - I actually saw a level 1 guy that I had just fired available to be bid on for less than a 2k salary since I had the direct link to him.

ehh, i don't think scrap heap's squad is that great. he's put in more effort in both of his wins and his ratings aren't superstar amazing.

Frosty - awesome prognostications and team writeups! Very entertaining. Thanks.
I know you are not enamored with my squad: " as it stands, the playoff race is EXTREMELY crowded on this side. however, just judging by the smell test, looking at their team composition, i kinda doubt it. at least not this season." You are right - this team is closer to being blown up than it is to winning it. I am in a situation where I am still evaluating. I don't get on these forums often, but I check my progress often (or lack thereof) and I truly appreciate that you and some other guys in BB take the time to entertain the rest of us. It's what keeps me coming back for the abuse and frustrations of BB! Good luck to all this season. Remember Frosty's predictions - Scrap Heap doesn't have the squad to compete. So basically use your games against us to train your rookies. We'll even feed them after the game.

It's a little early to draw conclusions (though that's never stopped me from trying), but I noticed 3 pointers were way up the first game, even with my 0.00% thrown into the accounts. Can we trust the GMs will warn us when they make changes to the Match Engine? I've played a lot of games like this one, and many times my team has gotten drastically better or worse in an offseason without me doing anything, other than hazarding the occasional stroll to the refrigerator for an adult beverage.

If this season's going to be determined by long-range shooting, I'm in deep trouble. Stephan Curry's a fine basketball player, but I wanna see how many 3 pointers he can hit without spilling a margarita.
