Ahh gotcha, I assumed they were league rankings (which wouldn't really have a cup component in them) but it's cool that you're tracking both in one. I think it will for sure make your job harder though.

I wouldn't worry about cup opponent difficulty. Similarly, in the NBBA you play teams in bad GS weeks, with injuries, etc... so I'm not a huge fan of it.

If you want a simple way to track it however just do wins/losses by world rank. This would work for both league and cup, if you're including cup, BBM/B3 could be included as well.

I lowered the weights for team salary and cup performance. However, I think I will add in some other metrics as well in the future including team ratings and strength of schedule. This will especially be important as the conferences are pretty lopsided.

A few notes this week:
- The Big 8 now has the 4 highest ranked teams.
- The number of teams left in the cup is narrowing and we’ll see soon who dedicates more of their minutes towards cup vs standings.

Updated MVP race with projected points from voting:

While I do think all-star game voting is a bit different from MVP, it does seem to follow somewhat along these rankings (although for all-star, position matters and GP doesn’t seem to really matter). I’d be interested to see if Mrosla really could end up near the top in MVP voting, but it looks like he might not be in the league by the end of the season. Either way it doesn’t seem like we have a clear frontrunner as of now.

The ratings are great. Thank you, Mediocrity. They remind me of the old days when someone kept track of all Teams with 100+ NBBA wins ...

I would say team salary should be ignored or minimized in the ratings, however. Performance counts ...

The idea of factoring in strength of schedule is good, though. I know my ratings are bloated, partially due to a relatively easy schedule.

Yeah, I think I'll pretty much 0 out team salary by next week. It helps earlier in the season when there are minimal amount of games played to see who might have potential for being a strong team.

I've drawn the highest possible seed in the cup (FM and D9) twice now and we're not even at the sweet 16.

I think that's worse for us than it is for you bud

I don't think it's great for either of us but the planning this season didn't really account for playing so many teams in the top 100 so early.

I guess it has to do with how nice my schedule has been the last 2 seasons and I've gotten used to that.

I lowered the weights for team salary to almost 0. I like including the cup since teams in the cup generally have to sacrifice league performance at some point, but I need a way to factor in teams going out early in the cup as the rankings underrate Triple Double quite a bit in my opinion.

Pretty sure with in league transfers the stats don’t transfer for MVP so I left Mrosla off (model had him at 2nd).

Thank you for my weekly ego boost and congratulations on grabbing up Mrosla for a reasonable price.

I hate it here. How did he sell for under $2M???

My theory was exhaustion changes and high salary players just being worth less in an unknown game engine.

Mediocrity mentioned that it was also after B3 roster locks.

Graham went way too low in my eyes, Mrosla was a bit too low but not a lot. If I had a roster slot for him, I would have grabbed Graham under 1 mil and never looked back.

But yeah you def deserve a bit more for those 2... sorry bud
