nope at LightBeater

but you have spent a ton more on scouting than me

i only spend 10k a week cause i am picking last and didnt think i have much chance of getting a great star

but if anything this new system may make the draft even more random in terms of finding guys with good potential and you can be sure that at least whoever you draft will be the right height

More random than the last system? If you spent 10k a week on the last system, you'd probably get the potential of 3-8 players, with a good chance that most were 1 or 2 ball players that you would have no interest in anyway. I think saying it's more random in terms of finding guys with good potential is vastly exaggerating (at best). I like this system because it has taken away some of the randomness and put the decision-making into the hands of the players.

i admit that i got crap every draft in the old system mainly due to being screwed by height quite a bit and i said knowing the height is a HUGE plus

but i dream of knowing the potential of 3-8 guys, most likely i will know the potential of 0 guys this time, choosing last my best hope of getting someone not rubbish may be by targeting 19 year olds... :(

You do know that you don't have to see everyone's skill before you start interviewing players for potential right?

For example, if you have 30 scouting points (which I believe is what you will get for 10k/week), you could just scout and interview 10 of the players. Or you could do the group demonstration and the scouting combine and interview the best 4-5 players that fit who you're interested in training. There are a myriad of other strategies that will let you see plenty of players' potential if you spent 10k/week. So it seems to me that if you don't see anyone's potential, it's because you chose not to see anyone's potential.

By the way, an experienced user mentioned to me that the FAQ is a bit off for the potential balls. It should probably be this:

Potential
5 balls = 9 - 11 (MVP - All-time Great)
4 balls = 7 - 8 (Perennial Allstar - Superstar)
3 balls = 5 - 6 (Star - Allstar)
2 balls = 3 - 4 (6th Man - Starter)
1 ball = 1 - 2 (Announcer - Role player)

well first thing i did was the combine, just too useful knowing everyones height

then as i was picking last i thought the group demonstration may turn up some gems that everyone had low...when i discovered how useless the initial order was...

ah okay. Send GM-Rip a BB-mail and ask him to change that section with the new info.

The FAQ is your baby and besides RIP is part of the fed where this was discussed. I doubt he missed the post.

I just wanted to let people know so they do not get confused if they see something different from what the FAQ says.

Just to point out, you missed out on Bench warmer potential, which is actually Potential level 2.
Also, the only difference I can see between what you listed there, and the FAQ is that the FAQ says that 3 balls can be a starter, and you are saying that 3 balls cannot be a starter. Are you sure that 3 balls can't be a starter potential?
